I pre bought the game from Steam. This is the best RPG game that I have ever played since Baldur's Gate Series (and KOTOR too).
Fantastic game, best PC game I've played in a long time. Was planning on buying the Enhanced Edition as a thank you for all the extra work but it's retailing for $70 down my way so I will have to make do with the patch until it drops a bit in price. Between GOG and The Witcher Cd Projekt are certainly one of my favorite companies in the video game business. Gotta support the guys who support the fans.

Lucky you, the vast majority of western Europe can't do that.
Oh well, at least the UK edition isn't censored. The steam EE is. I'm going to patch my UK imported cop. I would have bought it from steam again to show support, but I really don't want a censored copy.
Do you know if the Steam version is region free? Because I wanted to buy it from Stardock online store and I couldn't because of some utterly lame region restriction..
The Steam release is North American only I think.

"Games from Atari are only available in North America. * The Witcher is also available in Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, and Ukraine."
Another damn region restriction by Atari, everyone is confused about it, everyone hate it, but Atari still limits their distribution to several countries only.
Funny is they write "Available September 19th worldwide.", but it looks like Western Europe is not part of the World anymore - you are aliens or something in Atari's view.

Why what time is it for Europe? Their website insists the patch is due on the 19th worldwide. The North American release is actually today for retail.

I am from Turkey and I bought it as I said.
If you live in the US, Canada or Eastern Europe, download it from Impulse (http://impulsedriven.com). Impulse is a Steam-like client, but the games they sell there are DRM-free.
No matter you choose Steam or Impulse, beware, because I think they both distribute the censored version.

Yes, for now, the release on both (in North America) is the censored version. We may have something to solve that at some point soon, or not, maybe. I make no commitments or promises.

Eastern Europe version on Steam not censored right? When I bought Steam said "The Witcher: Enhanced Edition (EEU)".
While I also will loo for the uncensored version, according to CDProjekt, the only difference is the censored version has different sex cards. Other than that it should be the same. Anyway, I'm going to buy it retail to, as someone noted above, show my support for these guys.

That is uncensored version. Impulse version and Steam NA version are cenzored.
Atari does not publish witcher in Albania, ... ,Turkey, and Ukraine?
Couldn't you guys go with Valve or something instead of 'racist' Atari? I prefer digital distribution over retail one and would love to get witcher on steam.
meh. I'll be back in Poland in december I'll pick up the game then (as well as rockstar collection and drm-free spore and Mass Effect ). the game will be in polish language right?
