I like that song - has a "national" feeling to it... ^^

- now, this is teasing... - hope you won't do that. ^^

I love the way you are going at this, with the daily teasers. Gets me hopeful for every next day!
Woah...the prize for the White Wolf is very crazy generous. Looking at all the entires, I have a feeling I won't win, but that's okay, because the winners are geniuses! Seriously, I wish I had been more creative now. :P Big kudos to Skyrider and the winners! :)
congratulation to all the new winners, i somewhat expected gamerager to remain with his post as an entry, just for the lulz, but his entry was magnificent :) If I were the 5th guy, I'd give him gold ;)
w2 on Wine paper was good, since I mostly work with ms i let it slip under my radar for quite a while now, I am excited that they are doing osx implementation, that's a thing that would help me a lot :D
As for new winners, keep them coming! \o/
Should probably hurry up a bit so people who don't win still have time to buy the game at pre order price :)

Pretty good entries so far :)
First Batch of Winners, Thursday 12/05 2011:

Gold Award Winner
GrimTuesday

{Beware: The following entry may contain some spoilers of The Witcher 1}

Entry:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9og52WUTPvc

“Why should I win? I spent about 15 hours (and 60 gb of my hard drive) on this, so I think that shows how much I want a copy!

It is a showcase of Geralt's journey, as well as a look at the environments he goes through, who he meets, and how the people he meets evolve over time. “

{The Jury were impressed with Grim's entry, and naturally decided he should have Gold for the great work! Of constructive criticism, one of the jury members would like to point out that character voices rarely mix well with vocal music, and maybe in future movies (and we do hope to see those!), it would perhaps be best to mute the game, and go only with the music. Nonetheless, a solid effort throughout!}
-------------

Silver Award Winner:
Titanium

Entry:
“Dear Sir (or Madam, Cyborg overlord, Ninja(?), whatever)

As you are well aware of this, evil forces are on the rise. Mythological creatures, dastardly sorcerers, money grubbing capitalistic CEO's, grandparents; all these evil minions are on the rise and will, no doubt, take over the world if nothing is done quickly.

Luckily, I for one will not cover my ears and shout "LALALALALA I CANT HEAR YOU LALALALA" at the call of duty(TM). I for one applaud Geralt and his friends in their fight to save mankind (and NOT! as some evil voices spread lies, do it all just to fuck every tavern wench from here to Disneyland). And, I for one will heed their battlecry and put on the armor of righteousness, weapon of mightiness and the robe of invisibility...esness (for proof, see Figure A and B). To lift these glorious artifacts, I had to endure the most exhausting physical, mental and game-less training course of the ages, and then, and only then, was I deemed worthy of these government sanctioned powerthingies.

I know what you're thinking right now. Have no fear, a 5.56 NATO round covered with a nice layer of silver is more than a match against a stray Cockatrice or two, and a bayonet is the weapon of choice against anything else that bleeds when hurt. Also, the latter can be used to slice bread and cheese to just the right thickness, so that's two worries gone in one sharp package.

And thus, my appeal to you comes to a close. Regrettably, there was one last peace of epic loot I had to acquire to get to this stage of prowess, and that was the Contract of Bindingness, the most epic of the whole lot. It took many sacrifices to get a hold of it, but once gotten and signed, it was locked up in the depths of mount Triglav, and any way to secure it was lost forever... at least until I finish my basic (volunteer-because-mandatory-was-abolished-some-time-ago) military training. You know that "no-games" part of the sentence up there? Well, as it so happens, I only get the weekend off, a far cry for any true gamer who wants to play at least an hour or so each day. And thus, my only option is to fill my weekends with good, nay, best games there are. And you know the darnedest thing, TW2 fits the bill just nicely. Hint hint nudge nudge

Yours truly
Titanium “

{We here in the Jury are men of peace and diplomacy, but we recognize that such may not always possible. There are darker sides to human nature, and when things really get bad and out of control, it is at least good to know we can rely on such brave and honourable warriors like Titanium to strike swiftly, and restore order and peace with high accuracy and minimal bloodshed. For his selfless conduct to society, it is the wish of this Jury to award this good fellow with the Silver Medal of GOG, so he may dominate his foes on the battlefield of virtuality, as surely he already dominates the top roster at base-camp. Carry on, Solider!}

Bronze Award Winner:
MoP

Entry:
“I believe I've managed to prove without any doubt I indeed deserve to win in this marvelous competition, with the help of higher authorities, as depicted on the following movie:

{The Jury enjoyed MoP's short animation and decided he should win the sixth Bronze Award for his trouble. Well done!}

Yep, good idea. Done. :)

Next Batch coming up in 15 minutes or so.
Second Batch of Winners, Thursday 12/05 2011:

Gold Award:
Chiperiu

Entry:
"For my contest entry, let me tell you a little about myself.

Not unlike a Surprise Child, I was given away by my parents in order to ensure their survival. Since then, I have been groomed and coerced into becoming something I wasn't; first my mind, then my body, through the process of somatization, have been gradually altered.

In my trade, I carry two swords: one is for humans, its blade made from Knowledge, while the other, which I only use against the monsters within the humans who come to seek my aid, has a blade forged from Intuition, Wisdom and a certain Attitude; its hilt is called Technique and, among my kind, no two such swords are alike. I always carry a medallion next to my heart; its name is Empathy and it is used to sense the monsters within the humans who seek my help and to understand their nature.

The monsters I battle each day are not accidents of nature or previously-undocumented species; they are created by the evil deeds of our fellow humans and fed by their own victims' sorrow and anger. It has been observed that certain monsters are born only out of certain sins. They are not without use, however, since, among the pieces that remain after any such monster is killed, there are those that can be mixed into metaphoric elixirs which heal and enhance the soul of the one who consumes them - and it is always required to meditate on them in order to gain any notable benefit from such a potion.

Within normal society, I am an outcast of sorts, since many people are afraid of those who do what I do. There are also other kinds of monster-slayers, some even backed by rulers and powerful organizations, among whom there are those who find my approach and my way of being to be obsolete; in the meantime, my school remains one with old and dangerous methods; few people survive it and not all survivors are strong enough to use their skills outside the walls of the fortresses where they are taught.

The world within which I work is never black or white; even the fiercest monsters have been created with a real use in mind and even the most beautiful deeds can be motivated by petty and selfish impulses. I, myself, am neither a hero nor a bad guy; I am just a man who wishes to practice his craft and live his life, while being caught between opposing interests, tension and pain brought forth by other monsters as well as my own scars and injuries, which I have to accept and endure for the rest of my life.

I am not a witcher; I am young Jungian analyst. From within my little office, I help other people fight their daily battles and surpass the monsters that are their mental blocks and afflictions. My school of thought uses archetypes and metaphors all the time and, by observing some, I have now discovered just how similar our craft is to that of the witchers. Thank you for helping me understand this; it has helped me put some things into perspective and it is the reason why I would love the chance to play through the latest adventures of an actual witcher.”

{We here in the jury were mighty impressed by Chiperiu's entry. What at first seemed like a fine sample of fan fiction suddenly sprang into something different right at the end, and none of us saw it coming. There was no doubt who the seventh gold award should go to.}
------------------------

Silver Award Winner:
KavazovAngel

Entry:
Here's my entry, something I wrote many months ago when my girl was going through a terrible time. I already got my reward for writing it, she loved it, and smiled so beautifuly, even though she wasn't feeling well... but anyway, hope you'll like it too.

"Please stop, little angel,
I hear your whispered cries.
Don't cry, my angel,
Please wipe your weary eyes.

May my voice reach you softly,
It could cheer you up a little, hopefully.

Sleep on, my angel,
This light is not day yet.
The moon still graces the sky,
Try to relax gently in your bed.

Sleep on, little angel,
The world is not ready yet.
Leave your fears and worries,
For I will forever, for you, here wait.

Sleep on, my angel,
Sleep on through the night.
Don't worry, I am here,
I will guard you from the light.

Sleep on, little angel,
Sleep on, and be assured.
I will always be here, whenever you need me.
Always. Always"

{Everyone in the Jury were touched by Kavazov's entry, so the seventh silver award was certainly predestined to him.

Bronze Award Winner:
Eckoman

Entry:
I come to you with a plea of assistance. You see, I live in the town of StudentdeBroke (Translation: Broke Student) and while our Education District is well know, many visitors don't see the other side. Many of our Student Districts are miserable (including my own). Since we spend what little money we have on essentials, we must make due with what little entertainment we can create ourselves. Sometimes we play "Grab the Stick", where we see who can grab the stick first out of the pile of sticks, alas, it usually always ends with a tiebreaker (One person must debate why his stick is better than the rest). Othertimes we play "Who Cries First" where we must make the other person cry by pointing out their inadequacies (IE: Lack of Stick). And sometimes, if the situation calls for it, we'll play "Share the Wealth". Which only happens when someone happens to find something fun, like a crayon or a deflated basketball. We then prod the lucky son of a bi- until he agrees to share his artifice of entertainment with the rest of us, it doesn't last long...

Now, I heard about your contest (some traveler happened to drop your flier, glad I didn't decide to make it into a paper airplane) and decided to send you this letter, which if you notice is on the back of your flier. I've heard about "The Witcher 2", and how much fun and joy it is fabled to bring. If we were to somehow receive one, it could bring happyness to every single student in my district (hopefully we don't need to "Share the Wealth" with the rest of the districts...). Please Skystrider, you are our only hope. Will you be our savior?

Included in this Email is a tl;dr version of this letter, incase you hate words and a picture of one of the many sticks we use in our gamez.

{The Jury decided to grant the Bronze award to the students of Eckoman's district, and we hope they can find something of interest in GOG's extensive catalouge}.
