I learned my lesson years ago: I won't give a single cent of my money to EA within the upcoming 20 years. Luckily, for that time the worst company in America will be no more.

The little crystal will still be spinning, music will play, and things can be clicked but nothing happens. It usually hangs like this for about a minute or so. It's a weird glitch that I haven't been able to fix.
When this happened to my wife's Sims game, it turned out to be some random sim in the world being stuck on something. We were able to solve it with the " resetsim * "(no quotes, resets all sims in the current world so you don't have to find the specific one with the problem) command.

What I've heard from the rumour mill is that EA has told them (devs) to junk all the old assets made for Sims 4. Instead they are going for a totally new look for the game and it's overtime/crunch time again. It's why you don't see the old Sims 4 "eyes" image anymore.
