Insofar as the Orks were on the field (30 units a squad ALWAYS means lag), I thought the connection speed was pretty good. Probably better than it would have been on my PC, at any rate.
Well, we certainly screwed that up. Killed the warboss, but lost the war. The "Emperor's Finest" certainly look stupid now...
Now we just need to know how this all fits into the campaign, and what the next battle(s) will be.
There is something quite nice about having big mobs of orks, even if they cause slowdowns.
...and FenixP said he was going EASY on us. I can only imagine how much worse that battle would have gone if you both had just attacked again at once after massacring our defensive armies the first time and destroying that central listening post.
I did learn one useful thing from this experience, though: Minefields are cheap to build and can destroy light vehicles.

Fenixp absolutely destroyed me in 1v1, so I wouldn't be surprised if he could take on two people at once.
I'm enjoying playing as Orks though, since I'm working my way through the DOW OC, and the space marines do annoy me a bit.
Maybe I misunderstood, but Fenixp said we had an additional week. :O

Oh okay, no biggie.
If anyone wants a practice game this week, let me know here or on wave. I could definitely do with more practice, especially if I don't have Fenixp as a wingman!

Actually trying to get a game in now, would you be up for one now? Or anyone else for that matter?

Will they?

Candy.
Hey, since the Space Marines lost the battle for the Deimos Penninsula, does that mean we're out of the campaign altogether? And does killing the warboss in-game have any impact on the story?

Nope, of course it doesn't mean that. Also, no, it does not - not yet anyway, I'm thinking of implementing assasination rule in every game. But since heroes don't take too much to be killed, it might not be fun... So maybe I'll just stick to typical 'he was just knocked out for a while. Actually, these first games had a little impact on the story itself, I just wanted to get you guys playing.
