I don't know about owning all your eldar in the middle but they certainly should of done more then they did especially sinse they are chaos melee units vs eldar shooting units in close combat. Did you also see my random exploding defiler? It was the first one I built a little after building my first predator.
I'll have to put some proper hours into the game to learn the unquie mechanics of the game, winging it based on my dow experiance obviously didn't work :P

Yes, I HAVE seen it, was really weird. It looked like you've pressed delete right after you built him, but you would not be so surprised if that was the case :D
Also, note that meele combat really tries to work the same way, units in meele get a pretty big defense modifier against ranged attacks, including walkers I believe. Some units even to the point of invulnerability - I believe FoK team COULD do that for all the units in meele, but it wouldn't really make too much sense in real-time strategy - I mean, other squads won't just stand there and watch how they fight, they'll rather try to take the enemy down by carefully placed shots.
And, to the last point, could all four of us have an ... well, about 10 minutes-long game to find out where was the problem?
