1. Best Script Sands of Time
Love the characterisation and the ending.
2. Best Gameplay - Sands of Time
Almost perfect and pretty innovative for the time.
3. Most innovative - Messiah.
It doesn't work most of the time though.
4. Best Graphics – Technical - Far Cry.
Looked awesome when I played it first time, and still does.
5. Best Graphics – Creative - Sands of Time.
I love the dreamlike quality and the characters and environments.
6. Best Sound - Hostile Waters
The sound and voices really help you with situational awareness, and the music's pretty good too.
7. Best Soundtrack - Beyond Good and Evil
Nice music.
8. Best Developer - Valve
9. Best Publisher - Don't care
10. Game of the Year - Sands of Time
(again, sorry. Wanted to give more things to BG&E and Hostile waters, both of which rock. Wanted to give something to Giants too, but it just got beat in almost every category. )
Best Script: Broken Sword 2
Best Gameplay: Beyond Good and Evil
Most Innovative: Prince of Persia Sand of Time
Best Graphics - Technical: Far Cry
Best Graphics - Creative: Evil Genius
Best Sound: Sacrifice
Best Soundtrack: Painkiller
Best Developer: Ubisoft
Best Publisher: Interplay
Game of the Year: PoP Sands of Time
Best GOG User: When I need a laugh I can always count on Anjhol saying something ludicrous

2: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.
4: Farcry (I forgot that was on here Elwin, since I have it on SteamRM)
5: Beyond Good and Evil
9: Interplay, duh
10: Empire Earth
11: Me, obviously. I *do* have an image to protect.
I notice there is going to be a bias towards newer games for 4 and 5, but I am ok with that. Honorbuddy, that's two votes!

1. Best Script- Fallout
Enter the Master.
2. Best Gameplay - Jagged Alliance 2
Simply just plain fun to play and balanced all the way (rhyme unintended).
3. Most Innovative - Sacrifice
Just the right amount of innovation thrown into the RTS-action standard without feeling forced. There are more "innovative" games here, but a new idea doesn't equal fun.
4. Best Graphics, technical - Painkiller
The boss fights, oh my gosh, the boss fights.
5. Best Graphics, creative - Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
2D art is underrated. Spectacular use of different styles and moods.
6. Best Sound - Psychonauts
The voice acting.
7. Best Soundtrack - Fallout
The sound of the wasteland.
8. Best Developer - Black Isle
Fallout series. Let's hope they'll repeat this one next year with Planescape: Torment.
9. Best Publisher - Interplay
For being with the site since day one and re-releasing a bunch of unmissable classics.
10. Game of the Year - Fallout 2
Yes, a boring choice, but I cannot lie. Honorable mentions to Freespace 2, Abe's Oddysee and Psychonauts.
11. Best Action Game - Psychonauts
Thanks again, GOG team!
12. Best Adventure Game - Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
Ah, the puzzles. Challenging, too.
14. Best RPG - Fallout 2
Fallouts definitely are ROLE-playing games.
15. Best Shooter Game - Duke Nukem 3D
Clever level desing, awesome weapons, and of course the King himself.
16. Best Simulation Game - Freespace 2
The atmosphere.
18. Best Strategy Game - Jagged Alliance 2
One more fight, just one more fight and then to bed...
19. Best GOG User - Ralackk
Nothing wrong with the rep system.
edit: Ooh, new categories.

Namur: 01 Best Script - It's a tie between TLJ and Dark Fall: The Journal

I don't want to be Awards Nazi, but you're going to have to choose. Flip a coin if you have to. As for Ezri, what's not to love? Rarely do you get such finely tuned insanity.
Is anjohl in with a chance of winning best GOGer? Stay tuned, folks!

Namur: I edited my post.

Thanks! If I allowed multiple votes then this thing would be a nightmare to tally up, you see.

You are way too polite and proper for the internet Navagon.

But we must have manners on the interwebs, or there would be utter chaos!

Oh, the internets bear witness to my dark side aplenty. But there's no need for that here.
I'm going to have to take a long time over my nominations for the Goggies, some are really hard choices and some of the games I have bought I haven't properly played yet.

That's fine. I'm going to give this at least a few weeks more.
Should I add separate awards for Action, Adventure, Racing, RPG, Shooter, Simulation, Sports and Strategy games to this? Maybe not as the votes aren't exactly pouring in as it is...
I *think* votes aren't pouring in because this thread has been buried for three days or so... I say you should add those categories, and, if no usable amount of votes get given to them, then you at most don't declare winners.

Yeah, it has been a bit dead. But I can only do so much to keep it alive without falling foul of the no bumping threads rule.
