deoren: I don't know if they exist, but spoiler tags please! I still haven't beaten NWN main campaign yet. :O
Of course I could be in the minority there...

Probably so, but one can hope otherwise. :)
I think there's a statute of limitations on spoilers, and 7 years is probably well beyond that limit.
Going by how it's handled elsewhere, spoilers are dealt with as thus:
A spoiler is always a spoiler unless the IP owners no longer consider it a spoiler. For example, the parentage of Luke Skywalker is not a spoiler as Lucasarts themselves have used it for advertising since.
But the fate of the main characters in the movie Titanic, would still be consider spoilers as it has not been used for anything since by the IP holders.
That rule would do well here too, especially as this is a site dealing with older games. And there are bound to be people who have not played them yet; so don't ruin it for them. They will thank you for it (as will GOG as it'll probably mean more sales from people who want to experience an old game for themselves without having it ruined =)).

oooh shit, sorry mate, didn't even think about spoilers there. Since the game is that old I was assuming that everyone would know about it.

Unfortunately, spoiler tags do not exist on this forum software. :(
as a rule, I like to add spoiler tags, unless it's something like "snape kills dumbledore."

Oh come on! I haven't read it yet!

Seriously, dude. Not cool.
My opinion is that if something is several years old, its fair game. I still haven't watched the Sixth Sense, but I know the twist is that all that guys films have twists that dont really make sense if you think about it.
If I'm trying to avoid something, and I see "So in Game X where..." I'll intentionally scroll past so I don't see whats being talked about.
But yeah NWN was linear, other than getting the choice of which of the three areas of each place you do first.
Yeah you don't want to spoil Game X, that'd suck!

I spent many tough hours completing Game X, and I wouldn't want to rob anyone of the satisfaction of finding out whats going on!

Especially that shocking twist where it turns out that your lifelong mentor and best friend DOESN'T betray you!
Oh no! I've just ruined it

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but at least you didn't mention the magic wizard with the staff with a knob on the end, who helps you defeat the dragon through the power of modern dance...

Damn you, I haven't gotten to that part yet. The part with the colour-changing flying horse is too hard. I've been stuck for several hours.

All I'm gonna say is Mauve, Magenta, Apricot, Vermillion, Burnt Umber and then... well, you'll see.

You mean the mentor that really only cares about you and trains to to save the world and doesn't turn out to be evil mastermind that is only using you to gain dominance over the world/kingdom/country/whatever or for any other world shattering evil scheme?
And the best friend that stays forever loyal and doesn't first bethray you to join the evil side and again have change of heart and rejoins you after you beat him up later in game?
