When I, as an individual who has a mortgage on my home, have a fixed rate amortizing loan on a thirty-year amortization schedule, and I send in a curtailment (excess principal payment that doesn’t pay off the loan but reduces the principal balance faster than scheduled) what happens to all the subsequent payments?
This question / problem has been solved by Aliasalphaimage
By the sound of it, it'd reduce your loan balance but not the time it will take to pay the loan off which may mean you can do slightly smaller individual payments.
Then again I can't be an accountant because I still have my soul...

Thanks, I really just wanted to know about the new rep increase, it looks like it's ten for every solved issue.
I was wondering why my rep suddenly seemed a lot higher than I remembered. What with my fire-induced time off the net, I couldn't imagine solving any other problems...
Damn rep (some sort of word here), when was it changed to 10 anyway, very recently?

Ralackk: Damn rep (some sort of word here)

Might I suggest "Shennanigans"? People don't use the word enough

I know, but I just keep seeing 3 it's like.. looking in the mirror and knowing exactly the size of your nose, but it just looks bigger in the mirror.
