It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I avoid beta like the plague, so i wont ask for you to waste your invites on me. Ive just gotta know though... Browser based? Does this mean you cant play the game in full screen?
Just got my invite: Downloading and install worked perfectly (even on Win7) and the browser based part works in the latest Firefox trunk built as well. There's only one annoyance... which is basically the same as with MPlayer: When I launch a fullscreen match, 7 turns off Aero... and won't turn it on again until I exit Firefox. I said it once and I'll say it again: Windows, stop trying to be clever!
Anyway, tutorial complete with 20 to 8 for me. Is that good? I haven't played Q3 in ages.

So i take it the game can be played in fullscreen then. I was worried that it was going to be like those 3d flash games that you had to play in a tiny box.

Be aware that they send e-mails once per hour. So you may have a wait on your hands.

Thank you, Cheese33, are you up for some L4d later?
Good matche, Cheeseman :) Seems we two oldtimers showed them that there's nothing like experience. Except that one guy *mumble*
Edit just checked, no invites for me to hand out, yet..

Sure, just add me on Steam and when you're ready PM me on there.
By the way, I now have 4 invites left (but I'm saving one for the guy who asked first). I just need his e-mail address once he comes back online...

Yes, we can. Sorry, I had simply assumed that somebody else would answer your question in the meantime.

Yeah, good match! The same thing with the invites also happened to me. I joined around 7 in the morning, and when I came to my computer again around 6:45 or something, there were invites!
This game is awesome. It's like what GoG does; take an old game and revitalize it. It's amazing to play it on browsers, and the matchmaking is much nicer. Would be great to play it with a bunch of people on here, even get events going like Left 4 Dead (if they make an option to create private servers).
Now if only they could get rid of the Aero issue... seems like I'll have to run QuakeLive in a seperate Firefox process so that I can close it without closing all my other tabs and get Aero back.
For those suffering from the same issue:
Create a file in notepad and save it as QuakeLive.cmd and save it somewhere you can find it again. Enter the following text, replacing "C:\usr\bin\minefield\firefox.exe" with the path to your firefox.exe.
Now, whenever you run this cmd file, it will open a seperate Firefox instance (no, this is not the same as another window, it's really the same program running twice). When you lose Aero, just close the separate Firefox instance we created and Aero will return, while your other Firefox instance remains unharmed.

@echo off
set FIREFOXEXE="C:\usr\bin\minefield\firefox.exe"
set QUAKELIVEPROFILEDIR="%APPDATA%\QuakeLiveBrowser"
IF NOT EXIST %QUAKELIVEPROFILEDIR% md %QUAKELIVEPROFILEDIR%
set MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1
%FIREFOXEXE% -profile %QUAKELIVEPROFILEDIR% "http://beta.quakelive.com"

================ Edit ===================
For people using Firefox beta builds ("Minefield"): QuakeLive doesn't realize Minefield is actually Firefox: Enter about:config in the location bar and press OK. Search for general.useragent.extra.firefox and double click to edit. Append ( LIKE Firefox/3.0 ) to the string and everything will be fine.
