cogadh: They're great until they grow up and start throwing feces at you.
One more: WOLF! (actually, one of my dogs):

Ogodosh: Wow, you've got some great animal pics! Looks like it was an interesting trip.

It was a fantastic trip. We went to this exotic animal rescue in southern Florida where we got to "hang out" with monkeys, lemurs, tigers, wolves... even one lyger, though he was too grumpy to allow us to pet him. Petting the leopard was probably the scariest thing I have ever done while playing with the lemurs was one of the most fun. This is all during a trip where we also went to visit NASA and the Ripley's Believe It Or Not! museum, which were both interesting, but no where near the experience of having lemurs climbing on you like a tree. :)

I have little monkies climbing on me all the time, they're called kids.

lowyhong: My sarcasm meter has reached infinity and beyond. I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but if it's true, that's one mean looking dog
I mean it's been a long time since I've last seen a wolf IRL at the zoo. I can tell a wolf from a lemur, but not from a dog...at least not those big ones

No sarcasm, he is actually one of my dogs and he is a wolf, or at least part wolf. We got him as a puppy from a breeder who maintains a wolf/husky pack up in northern Michigan. Pretty much the only difference between a real wolf and Koda (his name means "friend" in Dakota Sioux) is he is a bit less wild and his eyes aren't yellow/orange, otherwise he is a wolf in nearly every way.
That
Is
So
Badass
Is he bigger than a German Shepherd? He sure looks like a big boy

I used to live in Port Huron.

At his last vet visit he weighed 83 pounds (37.6 kg) and was 27 inches (68.5 cm) at the shoulder, just about average for a North American wolf and about the same size as a large German Shepard.
Ah ha! It all makes sense now, quite entertaining....or something, yes!

yazleb: Ogodosh I noticed you have a lemur for your avatar yet your slogan is Monkey Man.
Did my Lemur Loving squirrel inspire you?
I keep seeing you on the forums and laughing at it, I would send you a message but I guess we don't have inboxes here.
Anyways jolly good cheerio,etc,etc...
:) Monkies, Lemurs, and Squirrels for all.

Ogodosh: I think the best thing about this thread is that it continued to thrive even while I hadn't responded to it yet. Props to all of you guys! And now it's wonderfully off-topic! More props!
Anyway, here's the story. One of my many names is fuzzymonkey41 (don't ask) and so when I signed up for a Steam account, I wanted to put a monkey in my avatar. I spent a long time looking at monkeys but didn't really get the right feeling from any of them. I finally decided on this lemur dude (even though he's definitely not a monkey, per se) because he is a badass.
The "monkey man" part of my profile is just the vestigial stuff from my great ambitions to truly be a monkey.
But doesn't EVERYONE want to be a monkey? OF COURSE.

michaelleung: I wish I could raise a squirrel... too bad it's considered a wild animal and you can't raise it domestically. But that's what they said about raising lions, and look what happened there...

I wish I could raise a raccoon with a chainsaw on its back.
