So it is, thanks :-)

GOG.com: Now it's not a problem and it costs you only $9.99.

Say "only" again with a straight face, why don't you? I'd like to try these games, but I am NOT paying $9.99 for a game from 1994.
I agree with the above posts about the price. $9.99 may not be a lot but in this case it seems overpriced. It may be a pretty big download compared to other stuff released at the time but not by todays standards. I'll wait for the two last games in the series gets released and for a potential pack promo.

GOG.com: Remember not having a powerful enough computer to run this Tex Murphy game back in the day? Now it's not a problem

michaelleung: It still is.

Then I feel sorry for you. Maybe it's time to do an upgrade :)

I can't afford a 386. Or even a RIVA 128. It's sad.

You've obviously never played it before. $9.99 is cheap for these masterpieces of classic gaming.

I can understand that you dislike marketing speech - but really ... both $5.99 and $9.99 still are low prices. Regardless of what's on offer. Before GOG was around I'd been happy for getting games with all that this site delivers at those prices - and I still am.
And no-one forces you to buy them for that price. Given that it probably took some good effort to get these compatible to today's Windows versions - and that people are trying to sell this one on e-bay for up to $27.99 I am quite ok with it.
Still - chances are there'll be a promo deal sometime - so it's not like prices are completly set in stone. And given that Panzer Edition dropped in price recently ... maybe publishers will wise up eventually.
I guess I mostly just ... felt like protesting against something that felt a bit too much like raging :).
Does this use DosBOX? Or does it actually support newer 3D cards?
I'm hoping for a little love in the 3D environment apartment here.

Unlikely. These are not re-makes just re-issues.

I'm not talking about redoing the 3D, I'm talking about supporting modern gfx hardware:P

DosBox automatically supports newer hardware. If it's not in DosBox then GoG may have made a custom wrapper executable for the games. Nevertheless it should run on newer graphics cards just fine.

There really wasn't any GFX hardware to support in '94, so no. The game is a software-rendered DOS game, like it was when it first hit stores, like all games from that era. And yes, it uses Dosbox. Runs like a dream, I've set it up myself before.
They look interesting but I never really was a huge fan of FMV games, with the exception of one MegaCD game and it wasn't Night Trap. But maybe I'll give these a try when I'm not so busy -- whenever that may eventually be U_U.

Agreed. These are well worth the price tag regardless of the age.
You will probably pay more than this to get 2nd hand copies on ebay or amazon (i did) and then there's the problem of getting them working on modern machines.
