$7.50 on direct 2 drive. worth it?
also, how is d2d?
I hear D2D is fairly unpopular, is it also that cheap on impulse?
I know Steam still has it for $29.99.
I'm sure someone else will fill you in on d2d.
As for the game, i played alot a while back and really liked it.
There's a lot of room for improvment in some areas like the world map, the quests, the world locations you visit, and it shows it's an indie title, but the mounted combat is top knotch, and i bet most people would agree on that. Actually i think it's the best i've ever seen.
So, yeah. Totally worth it for that price.
The only problem I have with D2D is their huge number of US only games. Other than that, they are an ok service.
I got the game from Steam like same deal 3 months ago. Worth it buy it.
Looking on D2D I see they actually have some really good deals right now. Cryostasis is a good deal -- I almost kick myself now for buying it retail earlier this week >_<. I should remember to check D2D from now on.
It has the best simulated mounted combat on this very earth.
There's also a healthy mod community which adds a ton of free extra content. So if there are some things you feel the developers should've done, chances are some modder thought the same and fixed it for you.
Great RPG. It's like 8 pounds on almost every british online shop.
I've never had any problems with D2D, other than the stupid autoplaying videos which tend to make navigating their site slower than it has to be on my system.
Mount & Blade is an awesome game, definitely worth that asking price. I love the freedom you get to just go out there and do whatever you want, and of course the great combat. It lacks anything resembling a story, though, and the AI can be a bit dumb.
I bought M&B a bit ago from Steam, back when Steam had it on sale for like dirt cheap -- I think it was $7.50.
You might want to call your local GameStop that sells PC games -- b/c they have been known to have physical copies of M&B for $5, if they actually have it. None of my local ones had it unfortunately when I was looking for it some few months ago, so I wound up buying it off Steam when that Steam weekend deal broke.

M&B is a great game, well worth buying. The graphics aren't any great shakes but the game play is exceptional and there really isn't anything quite like charging full pelt into a mass of enemies and laying waste to them with an axe ;)

Yeah seriously. The least they could do is just not show them to me at all. Saving the hassle of going: oh! they have that for this cheap? awesome! Than I click on it, and fuck, US only. Just annoying as hell.
Mount and Blade, I appreciate the idea and the depth of community commitment but just, not my thing. :/

I know what you mean.
Mirror's Edge is $19.95 right now. US only, naturally
