Navagon: I would say that's a shame. But Relic have really flourished under THQ.
We'll get them in the end. Oh yes.

The only sticking point with THQ must be the DRM free aspect. Their games are available on every other digital distributor and their prices are generally low. Even recent games like Company of Heroes and Titan Quest are $9.99 as it is.
Then again like EA they do like their regional restrictions which could be another sticking point.

THQ have NO qualms about removing DRM from older games. Especially not Relic's. CoH still has some. But it's about the best DRM scheme I've seen. Either a disc check or logging in. Your choice.
They don't strike me as a company with DRM hang ups like Ubisoft's pendulum-like swinging between extremes, or Take Two's and EA's pretence of listening to customers.

True, which is why i'm starting to think the real problem is regional restrictions. It may also be the reason EA are holding out. Bansama just got rather livid on Twitter as Steam just announced Mass Effect 2 available Worldwide! Except Japan.

My list:
Earthworm Jim Windows
Twinsen's Oddysey
Leisure Suit Larry "talky" versions
Phantasmagoria 1,2(Who doesn't love FMV games?)
maybe Quest for Glory games...maybe
I have Earthworm Jim Windows CD with the box and everything but.... currently there is no way to run it flawlessly in modern systems. Is gathering dust. Anyone know how to run it?

I bought them.Earthworm Jim Windows is not the same version as the original game. The levels are way more tough, longer, has a new weapon, the game runs super smooth in windows, the soundtrack is better and more. That means I have all Earthworm Jim games(No, I'm not counting the 3D) but Earthworm Jim Windows is the only one I can't run properly.

Delixe: Battlezone
Vampire The Masquerade: Redemption
I've added some I know and removed a lot that are with other publishers now (Sega, EA, Microsoft)

Ooooooh ..... Vampire The Masquerade: Redemption ,I've just gone all weak in the knees ! :o

EA Japan seem to be allergic to money. I don't know why EA doesn't just close them down, given that they're trying to remove parts of the company that are losing them money.
I found the filtered list to be somewhat short...
Bah, looking at this list gives me an itch. Release the major hits already! Even the Infocom interactive fictions, which I'm not so attracted to, I'd buy them all. Kudos for picking Gabriel Knight right away, but damn, I wish there was a new hit every day now.

Yeah, the reason that annoys me so much is that I have been asking Valve to stop advertising games as being available in regions where they know it's not available. But it appears they just can't get the simple fact in to their thick skulls that it's not acceptable to misrepresent availability. The announcement that Mass Effect is available worldwide plus the fact that were still advertising it in the Japan store (knowing full well they aren't selling it in Japan) was the final straw and I finally filed a complaint with the BBB.
I would have done that sooner, but I didn't know that the BBB actually accept international complaints. The funny thing is, a day after I filed that complaint, all the products I listed as being falsely advertised for sale in our region were finally removed from display. But, it seems Valve can't be content with doing something right and they replaced those products with several others that they aren't selling in our region.
I seriously get the feeling they're doing this on purpose now.
Now add to this the fact that GamersGate have permission to sell their "UK" EA games worldwide, and I really start to question what Valve are up to.

Thats the same as the Sega CD version right?
Predictions for tomorrow's tuesday anyone? With Phantasmagoria having so many people vouching for it, i wouldn't be surprised if it makes it on the site tomorrow.
The Pandemonium games were developed by Toys for Bob, which is owned by Activision now, however the publishers, Crystal Dynamics were bought by Eidos, who then in turn were bought by Square Enix, I am not sure which of the companies that currently has the rights, but I sure hope it's Activision.
Also, Sierra developed the only official expansion to Diablo 1 (which someone pointed out earlier in this thread) and then promptly forgot about it, it seems. They didn't even try to re-release it when Diablo 2 (or it's expansion) hit the streets, which I personally found strange. Now, as you all know, Sierra is owned by Activision, so there be hope yet. Especially since Acitvision has merged with Blizzard... Makes you wonder if you'll ever see a Complete Diablo collection (1+exp+2+exp+3)...
Also, I'm pretty sure all the LucasArts adventure games are still with LucasArts... That means The Dig, Full Throttle, Monkey Island, Grim Fandango and so on... Let's hope gog.com reaps in a whole lot of cash from this deal with Activision, forcing LucasArts to make a deal with them to. Oh, and Atari for the Infinity Engine games, Atari also owns Infogrames, which had a lot of nice games... And EA For American McGee's Alice... And I think they might have System Shock as well?

I believe it was Blizzard that later retconned everything that expansion bought and basically no longer admit it ever existing.

Really? I guess you learn something new every day...
But still... Not re-releasing it when Diablo 2 hit the streets?
