Uhm, well, they could just release Mortal Kombat(s) for free before they go bankrupt for nobody buying the company? Just joking :-P

Mortal Kombat was always a one trick pony, it was an adquate but not excellent beat em up with high levels of gore for creative, brutal & controversial finishing moves. Street Fighter & Tekken were better beat em ups and I somehow doubt that a blood fountain finishing move is worth 30 million.
If they will make Mortal Kombat games to PC too, I will give them $5.99.

Well, for what I recall MK 1-2-3-Ultimate-4 are all available in PC format.....
Yes, I have them. I am talking about MK games after the 4th edition. :)

Oh, yes, they have continued to make MK after the fourth episode :-P

Petrell: Looking at wiki Midway doesn't seem to posses any good frachises to talk about. No wonder it's going under. Motral combat franchise is definately not worth 30 mil $ alone
Edit: EA could buy it to add to the mountain of unused IP it sits on ;) :P

I agree. Looking at that list, there's nothing that interests me from Midway.
20$ take it or leave it. No? Just wait couple days, they'll agree.

Nah, there are some really good games from them besides the MK games; here are some highlights:
Area 51 (arcade version)
The Cruis'n series
Joust
Killer Instinct (i think they published)
NBA Jam (remember that?)
Rampage
San Francisco Rush series
Maybe CD Projekt could buy up Midway and begin dumping the classics to GOG.com... starting with MK1...

If someone will buy Midway it will be Ubisoft I think.

And if that's the case (either with Ubi or any of the publishers currently on GOG.com), we'll see that catalog on GOG sooner rather than later.

For Revolution X alone they are surely worth 30 mill!
right?
I played it on an arcade in wales when I was younger, good times.
Don't buyers of midway also inherit the roughly 70 million debt? That means they'd have to have someone who thinks they can make $100,000,000 from the IPs owned by Midway. That doesn't seem likely unless EA buy them, make mortal kombat super mega xtreme edition with ridiculous levels of gore, 4 characters and make you buy expansions for the others

Maybe if you bought it, and directly went into bankruptcy protection, it would be OK.
