Navagon: Personally I find it to be a much. much better game than NWN1. Certainly in terms of characterisation and storytelling.

But yes, the patching. It can take a while. I hope you have a good book handy.
My personal selection of fiction was larger than the library's of the last town we lived in.

But yes, now I must get this...or rather later. *licks lips and stares meaningfully at Baldur's Gate*
I liked Neverwinter Nights 2 much more than Dragon Age.

They're not going to release the old Magic game, it would enter in competition with the new one. It will only come out in a bunch of months.

Runehamster: I passed up that game without a second thought after reading initial reviews.
I always get a headache when people say that. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever or ever do that for a game thats even remotely complex because unless its an 8 hour FPS, the reviewers have very probably not played enough of it to see what the game is really like.

On the upside you can probably buy it cheap now and Mask Of The Betrayer is the only other game I've seen that gets near the same country of awesome as Planescape Torment. Its not in the country exactly but its holidaying on an island offshore

stonebro: MoTB is one of the best campaigns ever made.
I agree. By the time MotB came out, NWN2 was in pretty good shape.
I have all those game's plus all the other AD&D games that came out for the computer, I loved NWN2 and it's expansions, once I got around the way to move around and the diffrent camera views and the fact that each ending kinda pissed me off but all in all it was a fun game. Though I own temple of Elemental Evil and Pool of RAdiance have never been able to get either game to run so haven't had the pleasure of playing them through, click the icon game gets ready to load then black screen and it closes and I'm back at desktop, sigh!!

the_voivod: Like, say, System Shock 2. That one would be perfectly adequate for my needs.
Ah yes, the most voted for game on GOG by several country mile- no, actually just several countries. With such a unique taste, one could be considered quite eccentric.

I'm still mucking about in Durlags Tower (or whatever it's called). Then I need to find the Bandit Camp (somewhere on the map???).

the_voivod: Well, one does try. I wouldn't kick it out of bed, let's say.
Nor would I, old chap. Nor would I.

^This

And NWN2's vanilla compaign > NWN campaign
NWN had a campaign. It did. But...uh...y'know, dangit, I can't remember what the storyline was besides 'fix zombie-making disease NAOW.' And then, of course, there was the exciting plot twist about the Priest of Helm, which they flagged so many times forum moderators complained.
Would be nice with a break from the RPGs now. I sure even the hardcore fans must agree to heal their sore wallets and get some time to play through the games ;)

Whenever I did play through RPG I always spent plenty of time on it and ended up taking a break from the genre before taking on another.

I picked up the Limited Edition at Half Price Books for $5.00 - You could always get it from Amazon for $100.

I didn't like the Camera Control as much as I did the original. Wish they would have kept it.
