Also youtube, facebook, flickr and all the others I cannot remember the name of.

Yeah, but all the people "in the biz" are going nutso over it, saying that it's going to be having a supposedly huge userbase and is going to be the way of the future..
That's why people have heard so much about it, because other people won't stop saying good things about it.. when really it's just an giant chatroom where every one is ignored until you to choose to unignore them.

Actually, I kinda prefer that to the opposite. (No, I don't use any of the big web2.0 attention-whore websites).
I find it amusing how having a forum or allowing people to post messages used to be "stuff you do on the internet" and now its called "Web 2.0".
I didn't even know that it's called like that..:)

Agreed. This web site is very simple - fantastic design, fantastic interface. It has nothing to do with useless labels.
I'm still waiting for them to release the patch for web 1.0
I just noticed something interesting about the beta thing, the "Yes, we're in beta and would like your feedback" link at the bottom of each page is gone and has been replaced with an accepted payment methods graphic.
Could that mean the end of the beta or could it just mean they got sick to death of people's idea of useful beta feedback being "get system shock 2, LOL!"?

Maybe a pinch of both! :o)
I think that main thing is that we are in beta stage in our minds;)
Meaning that there are features we think are neccesery for the final version which are still missing. And without them we don't want to make grand opening. Also in terms of line-up.
Surely, sooner or later, we will finish beta (I bet, later this year, but who knows;)

That sounds like a latent inferiority complex, have you considered therapy?

Or tried anti-depressants?
they're depressingly expensive. GOGs are a better option
I just noticed, the "BETA" is still attached to the site logo, but the "Yes, we are in beta, please give us feedback" link at the bottom of the page is gone. What, you don't want our feedback anymore? :p
