Crosmando: Thought some of you people might be interested in a little Christmas present I found, ResidualVM, which is based the 3D-game equivalent of ScummVM, is now compatible with Grim Fardango...
Is this some sort of fan-made sequel set in the distant land of dango? Is there any ETA on when the original Grim Fandango will be working?

Just messing with you... I wouldn't have said anything except you spelt it wrong twice (in the title and in the post). Anyway, awesome news, though I was able to play it using the alternate installer just fine last I tried... still, it will be good for cross-platform play...
Cue GOG release in ∞, ∞-1, ∞-2, ∞-3,...

strixo: Version 0.1.1. released Feb 10, 20123.
Whoa, that's quite a long way off. Not the most ambitious of roadmaps, eh?

Sorry, I got inspired by Tallin ;-)
Awesome news!

Why is it called ResidualVM and not GrimeVM?

I'm guessing that's a pun, since grime can be said to be a residue?

Yeah. Watch out for Morlocks.
Ah, i just purchased a copy of the famous Grim Fandango for 8.50 €.. Hopefully it will support my upcoming French version in a few days!! I see Escape From Monkey Island in the works too with the engine, nice i have this one on Cd at home too but not tried to run it yet.. Anyway, i look forward to see this game live up to its HYPE, soon. Hopefully again. :P
Huzzah! Excellent news! take that LucasArt and your unwillingness to NOT re-releasing your old adventure games.

Even though I believe one day Disney will do the right thing.
