Fenixp: Well, to get GoG wave on google wave really going, I have 5 invites I'm willing to give out.
In my opinion, if wave gets it's own stand-alone client and everything will go well, it'll be the service that would be very well able to surpass e-mail, IM services and many sharing services, since it combines them in a very accessible manner. You can dynamically switch from what seemed to be an e-mail conversation a while ago into IM conversation, and then invite more people into it, so it becomes a small IRC with people talking about matter that was previously discussed in IM and mail, with an easy access to all previous communication they were not part of. Of course, sharing of documents and pictures is easy and fast as well. And then, when you finish talking, you just throw them out and can communicate in privacy again. If you're interested into details, just look at google wave presentation video - yes, it's long.
It's an invite-only preview version, so expect some lag and it's not finished yet, but it looks very usable and practical. I'd like to try it to it's fullest, but one would need more people to do that now wouldn't he?

I've been messing around with it for a bit, and it definitely has a load of potential.
My one issue in terms of its usefulness for group writing/editing projects is that those projects are currently 'stuck' in Wave. There isn't any way to download them or export them elsewhere...hopefully someone realizes an 'Export to Google Docs' extension would make a ton of sense.
7:52 Minute presentation... Screw that 2 hour one :P and i love the idea if everyone switched to Google this would be a wonderful tool

I'll be happy to take an invite off someone's hand if anyone has another to spare. :) The email's closetpacifist@gmail.com
Thank ye.
Just watched that 8min video starkrun posted, it mentioned something about groups. Do we have a gog group going on the wave and if so could someone invite me to it? I tried doing searches but it seems to search contacts I already have. I have no idea how to add people unless I know their googlewave account name.
Does anyone have a spare? benunkle3ATgmailDOTcom. Replace the AT with an @ and the DOT with a period.

Haven't heard anything yet, though I guess you're offline by now.

On and off :) Invite sent.
I'm using Google Wave for some days now, and it won't surpass anything at all. Google is surely good at advertising and searching things on-line, but this isn't the future it's just another communication tool.
