So whens that going down? The shelf thing looked really neat, I had some questions about that but I suppose they will be answered in time.
I guess I was just hoping we could talk/speculate on it.
probably right after the witcher white wolf is released.
Probably before Christmas.
update??
Shelf thing???
Is this a planned update of the gog downloader application, or a revamp of the entire website?

revamp of the entire website, it's a part of the newsletter feature that isn't working that announced this whole thing.

When it's done ;). No, seriously, I don't want to promise you anything. It's a pretty big update and we want to make sure that every single detail is polished.

Feel free to ask, I'll do my best to answer all your questions regarding first GOG.com update (without spoiling too many surprises :)

Alright then, you asked for it:
Is the virtual shelf only capable of listing games you actually bought at GOG, or can it display games you have from somewhere else (originals) or games you don't yet own (wishlist)?
Is it strictly a shelf thing in terms of display with huge pretty images and game boxes, or can it also be viewed as a handy little text-only list?

The shelf will be the part of My Account section at GOG.com (My Games tab) and it's meant to display games you've bought here. Basically it's a new way to browse and rearrange your GOG collection (yes, you can drag & drop games on your shelf :). As for showing games you want to buy / bought not at GOG.com - that's an interesting idea but not for this update.

The classic "list view" is still there :).

my laptop operates under both conditions, and it doesn't happen on it, any more information you might be able to give?

I'd also like to use the shelf for non-gog games but keep the same gog look, I hate how the 'Games' thing in Vista looks so... mix and match. You know? And not everything I have installed will show up. If I could manually add games to the gog-shelf and have all my games show up and they all have that gog look.... yeah.
Also, what kind of community enhancements specifically? Mods, a delete button, etc.?
