Ok - how many games now available on GoG do you already own a copy of.....an indicator of age? Or just an indicator of good judgement??
Personally? - 14. Been Pc gaming for 10 years, which helps...;o)
Two. But that's not an indicator of age, it's just that my favourite developers aren't here yet.
Ion Storm, Looking Glass, Valve, Westwood and Eidos, where are you?
20 owned already, But I do buy packages and old stuff more often than new.
Gaming for 24 years at least, and there is enough I missed out on to keep me going another 24 at least.
I think after that, I'll go out and build a house or something constructive :)
Gaming since I was 5...now I'm 14. I own UT2K4, Fallout 1/2, UT GOTY, and that's it. I think.
allready have 8 games from GOG and tons of other games on my shelf ,and age? let's say, that i clearly remember my amiga 600 ;)
so far 20 games but will be buying waxworks and feeble files when they are released also think ill go for port royal.
I am 34 but been gaming since 1984 when i got my first computer (vic 20 i think)
I will be buying more games here rather than buying new games. red alert 3,fallout 3 and sacred 2 are the last biggies i wanted although if dragon age is any good then ill go for that but being that EA is publishing it i have my doubts.
Only bought seven so far, just added simon the sorcerer 1+2.
Have been gaming for about 20 years, so had some experience with text-based games and then CGA (4 colours) graphics, before the lure of EGA (16 colours) and beyond!
I think some of you are misunderstanding the question. What the OP is asking, is "Out of the games that GOG currently sells, how many do you already own from other sources?"
So the question is not how many games have you bought from GOG, but rather how many games haven't you bought from GOG, because you owned them already?
12 Games, I think. It's pretty hard to get an overview as magazines with old games where quite popular when I was about 15, so I might actually own a few more. 8 of these games were actually bought "boxed".
The simple fact is, it could have been hundreds, but right now GoG catalog isn't aligned too well with what I used to play (mainly FPS, racing, jump n run & adventure games), so there's little that overlaps (which could be seen as a good or bad thing, depending on your POV).
Edit: I'm 25 BTW

I had Simon 2 I think, or 1, actually still have it somewhere, but lord knows where. I got Fallout 1 and 2 for $1.99 in some package that they came together and then the same thing but for Sacrifice and Messiah, which I never got to run because it was acting stupid on XP. What else... I have Ghost Master that I got when I lived in Spain with a magazine, but the sucker is in italian, so I have never played it because I don't speak italian, that was a huge bummer as I was stoked to try it. Also from a magazine in Spain I got Gothic 2, I think it was 2 at least, I haven't really played it yet. I got MDK 2 as well from the same magazine, that one I did beat, it was pretty awesome. I bought Second Sight when it came out on PS2 and liked it a lot. And I really wanted to have something simple to pick up and play so I got Sensible Soccer from Gametap since it was free, but I don't play it anymore since if I want to play something quickly I just do Peggle now.
3-The Fallout Series. Picked it up on Amazon over the summer.
I own about 10 of these. I'm 17, and have been gaming since I was 7 (although lots of these were donated to me by my grandfather, who was a gamer back in the day).
I own around 12 of the ones available on GoG atm. However, my favourites aren't here yet... mostly because I'm adventure and rpg enthusiast... and most of my games from other genres say Lucasarts on the cover as well ;)

Zombus: 32. Most of them boxed, a few as unaesthetic magazine versions.
It's quite astounding (or should I say alarming ;) ) that 2/3 of the games I bought on GOG are already owned by myself.

Salute to you - by far the most so far......!
I still have original retail copies for about 29 or so of the games offered here. I have 2 retail copies of the entire Unreal series - bought all of those on the day of release for each and received the Unreal Anthology when I pre-ordered Unreal Tournament III.
I'm a old and crusty gamer born in '69. My first video game experience was on the Magnavox Odyssey. One of my Dad's poker buddies owned it whose house we frequented once or twice a week. My first console I owned was one of the mid 70's Atari/Sears Pong clones. My first handheld was the Parker Brothers Merlin.
