Not in, but in my case the most expensive thing I bought that is going to waste is a 4.1 surround sound system for my PC. Purchased at about $350 (nothing like that expensive car, but then never have bought anything like that!) because they were so well received link
I actually did use them for about 2 years when I was a bachelor and enjoyed them then. However, these days married with children I don't have a enclosed office or other space for my PC, just sits in my living room beside my wife's system and due to being in the center of things, haven't even taken the speakers out of the box for about 7 years. I'm assuming they even still work at this point; but, just don't see myself having a place to game where I can have that much sound, plus headphones have come a long way in the last decade and since I often use voice chat for online games at least they are better for me.
(I could also say I'm in the same boat as many people here it seems in that I have a huge backlog of games I've bought that I've yet to play so in that sense they are going to waste, but I'll get to them eventually right! ;-))
