I think Episode IV was kid friendly. But for 70s kids, or at least for 70s standards. Nowadays, kids are treated like stupid babies by the entertainment business and only get low-minded stuff.

I'm also pretty sure kids back in the 70's never got these.

Hehe, I've seen this in the lastest Star Wars Magazine (french edition). Ahmed Best himself think it's the worst Jar Jar merchandise ever made.

I found out about it in 1999/2000 when I walked into a store with a friend and we saw it on a clearance rack. We had many a good joke for the rest of the day.
