It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

For the past couple of weeks, the GOG forums seem to be having odd issues: really slow performance/response time, posts/replies not showing up until someone else posts in the same thread, some posts apparently not showing up at all, reply button non-functional, etc. It appears the issue is getting progressively worse and errors are happening more and more often. Is anyone else running into this? Is it restricted to certain regions (perhaps indicating a problem outside of GOG) or is it happening across the board? Maybe a particular browser (I'm using Firefox)?
EDIT - Add another one to the list, this new thread didn't show up for me until I closed out of my browser, restarted it and returned to GOG. I've already cleared my history and forced a refresh of the page, didn't make a difference. I'm sure this edit won't show up immediately either.

At certain times of day there is a time delay of up to 5 minutes before a post entered into the system reaches the point that it's displayed. This has been happening for as long as I can remember.
I use Safari on my laptop and Firefox on my desktop, both have the same problem.
I've got the same issue, both at home and at work. I use Firefox in both places. And it seems to have gotten progressively worse this past week.
I've only noticed the very slow loading and post times this week and thought perhaps it was due to heavy site traffic because of the Tex Murphy freebie and the sale.
Edit: IE7 or IE8, depending on which location I'm at. Since I see at least three different browsers mentioned, that's probably not the issue.

Very slow response time site-wide for me. The issue with replies not showing up has gotten worse too.
I use Google Chrome.
The problem has nothing to do with the browser you use. It's a server side problem, possibly to do with resources being strained by cron jobs or the like running in the background.
Hmm. I can't say I've noticed any of these issues, except for just before and after the downtime we had yesterday.
Its getting really bad now. The forums are practically impossible to use for me at the moment. Here's hoping this post actually makes it through.
It's working OK for me, but new posts take a little while (up to about 2 minutes) to show up. Maybe there's too many people browsing/posting right now? :-)
Happened to me just a while ago....freaky.
I'm having a lot of delays between posting/editing and it showing up on the threads, from 3 to 10 minutes delay. It's been 2 weeks or so that it's happening, and I'm using Fx3.5, no problems with other sites.
Also, a really slow refresh of the page after I edit a previous post (as it tries to refresh automatically). And that usual and freaky quoting error when editing.
Yes, seeing the delays and slowness. Sometimes pages completely fail to load. It's gotten worse during this xmas/sale period.
I've run into the described issue quite a few times. My guess is that it's just their servers getting hammered a bit due to the site becoming more popular. I noticed that it was particularly bad right around the time the holiday sale launched, which would seem to support my hypothesis.
From my experience, this issue is stemming from a problem with their SQL server. Either MySQL, MSSQL or Oracle. Most likely MySQL.
It seems like MySQL is taking too long to resolve some write-queries so it comes to stalls, but they have thankfully set it up in a fashion where it will prioritise read queries to a extend so even though there most likely is quite a lengthy queue of write statements going on, we at least still can read.
Maybe they need to distribute more memory to the DB application, or simply upgrade their webserver.
