It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I'm getting everything but the poor performance, I think. It's actually been happening to me for months on and off. I've also just noticed whenever I post, the new window is always maximized. Real annoying.
I did notice on GOGs Twitter the site and/or forums were down somewhat due to the holiday sales. Someone did mention the no posting thing to them there though and they replied, saying they seemed to be fine...
I'll mail this thread to GOG support and hope something comes of it soon.

Yeah, the problem is universal. I can only imagine that the sale is taking a toll on the servers which is slowing everything up. It's almost certainly a hardware issue (not enough hardware, that is).
haven't noticed it myself (touch wood).
But that might be because I'm mostly online at off-peak times (for much of EU and US).

Actually for me it is slower for a month or so.
But it got really worse on these last two weeks, probably because of the sale and a lot of people visiting the site.

The further away you are from the servers the slower it's going to seem. So, in this case, it's not surprising you were affected before Europeans.
Got a new issue popping up now: threads are no longer being grayed out when read.
I would chalk all this up to increased server traffic as some have suggested, if it wasn't for the fact that these problems really started well before the holiday sales were announced, albeit at a much smaller scale. Frankly, I first noticed it happening regularly leading up to and right after that outage we had a few weeks ago. Its entirely possible that increased Christmas traffic is adding to the issue, but I don't believe that it is the root cause at this point.
Must be that Iron Curtain killing the servers this Christmas.
EDIT: Yeah, the forums are pretty boned today. Replies don't post in a timely manner, read counts and +/- marks don't save, and the "New Post" ribbon either doesn't display properly or refuses to go away.

posts not showing up immediately but take forever
threads don't get greyed out when clicked.
not a big deal. annoying tough. so if gog team in distant future of year 2010 can do anything about it, that would be great.
now it is Christmas so don't worry about it.
Urgh. I just made a question post, semi-lengthy one, filled in with all kinds of information to help people help me, posted, and now it's gone.
Hi all,
Yes, the team is aware of the problems mentioned and we are very sorry for this inconvenience. These are caused mostly by a super huge traffic going through GOG.com in the recent days - it was way bigger than we've expected :).
I think you should soon notice an improvement compared to the past few day, although the delays might still occur for the few days (though not as often). The devs already looked into this and we will be keeping finger on the pulse.
If you will continue experiencing bugs like post disappearing or a huge lag, please post here and provide us with as many details as possible (which topic was affected, the time when have you added the post, what happened... etc). It will help us greatly!
PS: Although this is maybe not the best topic for this, but Merry Christmas everyone :)

I don't know, I think every topic should be the best for wishing Merry Christmas =D
tried posting two minutes ago (13:45 on GMT+1) on http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/thief_collection_is_awesome and http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/steam_amp_039_s_annual_holiday_sale and the posts got eaten again.

Yes, as you said it is universal, I just got it first maybe. I was just reporting and adding that, for me, it started a week or weeks before this holiday promo. So as cogadh said on the post after you, maybe the promo isn't the root of the problems, they were appearing before on a much lower scale.

When the post fails, and if you use firefox, I suggest you go to the menu "history", "recent closed windows", and then click on the last "add new post..." from gog. Then just copy it, and paste it wherever you want again.
But after 1 day, this doesn't help you a lot if you have cleared your cache/temps. Do it just after you loose your post. :/

Thanks for the reply on this topic, and I wish happy holidays for all the GOG team. ;)
