I bought the special edition at launch to get my Lunch Box (Launch Box). Which I used for a while, until I earned enough money to buy lunch out in the city.

Meh, I'll wait for the GOTY edition and see if they have the crashing problems sorted by then, and if so then once it drops below $30 and if the fancy strikes me then I might grab it.

I paid full price* for it on the 360 and I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of it, nice contrast to those games where you can buy it in the afternoon and finish it before bed. I've only got the first addon for it so far, the cash is a little tight at the moment and by "tight" I mean "spandex childrens bike shorts on an incredibly obese man" tight.
*au$80 which is roughly us$65. That was still a bargain considering the average price for a AAA 360 title here is au$110

That my feeling about Fallout 3 as well - the only game in the past 12 months that I paid full retail. And I have certainly gotten my money's worth. I have not yet done any of the expansions so I will probably do the GOTY version just to get all of the expansions on disk. It has its flaws but I have had a blast playing it. The only reason I was willing to pay the full retail was because that was pretty much the same story with Oblivion.

Yeah, I see it as 19.99, but I already own it, so whatever. It's a rarity we get a good deal out of this, being living in Asia and all.

I bought it on the day of release too, so it doesn't really help me either. Still annoys me that I can't buy the DLC though. I mean what's the point of giving M$ the monopoly on the DLC if they refuse to sell it in all countries?
Really our GFWL market place is a joke. It has like 10 items in it, all of them either videos or demos of games that we can't buy! And the real kick in the arse? some of those videos are for the Fallout 3 DLC.

GFWL is a joke in general, I don't think Microsoft ever took it seriously.
On a side note, last night I dreamed that I had purchased the game and kept telling myself "but i thought i was going to wait for the GOTY edition?!" I woke up very confused this morning.
