Just saw this article, it looks good. Hopefully there's an HD version and it's more FTP not PTW
Urgh, looks like facebook game.
I hope its playable and not like most of the phone stuff.
Why, oh why this dreaded cartoonish graphic became a standard nowadays? Is it really so appealing to most gamers?
"EA has confirmed to us that the game will be free-to-play with in-app purchases, though."

says it all

To be expected with mobile games i guess

Big pass i hate the graphics too bright for me and the ingame purchase no thanks.
Made by the same devs who just released the crappy ultima forever game. I'll pass.

I can seem to ignore it if the mechanics in that game work well, for example like in WoW but they didn't so well in AoE Online

Well... to tell the truth I don't even have a suitable mobile to run this game but it just (slightly) bothers me that this art style is so popular. And IMHO it doesn't suit well for some games, Dungeon Keeper included. I know it's a kind of parody game but I would prefer more serious art style...

That's what I said while playing Theme Hospital. :)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Out of all the games in their catalog, why did they choose to rape Dungeon Keeper? If this is the way they see the franchise going, I hope they never decide to make Dungeon Keeper 3 for PC.

You don't want to see "Even more skimpy outfit for the mistress DLC" for 4.99$ for limited time only? Or "New serrated scythe for the Horny DLC" for 3.99$ and the premium version for 29.99$ which includes "banish female cloth" enchantment which works on every hit? But... but... why? ;)

It's ok, Dungeon Keeper is not really the thing anymore

I am more dissipointed that the GOG version of Dungeon Keeper 1 is DOS and not Windows.

I have Dungeon Keeper Gold (which is the "Windows version"), and I think it can be quite tricky, if not impossible, to get it to run on modern 64bit Windowses.

I think I got it to run fine on an old WinXP PC, but even there it felt a bit glitchy somehow... or maybe it was how the screen kept flickering when the Windows version was changing screen modes or resolutions or something.

Since the Gold version includes also DOS versions of both Dungeon Keeper and Deeper Dungeons, I decided to play them instead in DOSBox. The DOS version just seems to run more coherently, in lack for a better word.

I think the only thing the Windows version has over the DOS version is that it adds Direct3D HW support. While that makes the graphics look a bit smoother (or fuzzier, like when looking at zoomed objects in first person view, which normally are quite pixellated), it apparently also lacks some visual effects that are present only with the DOS/SW version, like the lens effect in the first person view.

And in the normal overhead view, IMHO the Direct3D and SW renderer differences are not that big anyway.

Ok, I am not sure if the level editor is only in the Gold edition, in case someone is after that.
