That's me.
How many of you are out there? :P
This is the first generation in console gaming where I've had serious reservations about every system, and no GREAT inclination to get any games on them (that I couldnt get on PC), with the exception of Soul Calibur IV/Virtua Fighter 5, but hey, I can deal with the predecessors (even emulate them, soon -- I paid for 'em before!)
Anyway. Thanks to a friend and work, I seem to have become a bonafide PC gamer without noticing. I had a shitty rig last year -- some lowly single core AMD cpu, integrated NVIDIA graphics (but hey, it played Doom 3 pretty well, the first PC game I really spent time with), 1GB of some pretty slow RAM, flat screen CRT -- but have since upgraded to a real solid one, and will be upgrading further again soon (and buying another load of GOGs).
Just have to say, catching up on all the stuff I've missed over the years (I played a bit of Duke Nukem, Quake, etc. like most in my generation, but nothing serious) with the help of GOG and you guys is really great, and also using my new setup to play the new stuff at great performance is really satisfying. Feels good to be a PC gamer.
Who else has seen the light? ;)
