This game looks great! Nothing better than a good old-school 2D platformer! And it works on Mac!

Weclock: I was just wondering if I was one of the only people here who had the pleasure of playing this awesome free game.

It's a free PC game and it's pretty cool, it's also been ported to PSP as homebrew. I really enjoyed it on my PSP.. I have difficulty with platformers on PC though..
Anyway, it's a FANTASTIC game, seriously, it was made by one person, and one person only, but if he'd had any experience before this, he would have charged for this game.
Then again, it might not have gotten around so easily if he did.. hahaha.
Anyway, if you have never heard of cave story, or have before but never checked it out, do so, and hit +1 plz.

You naughty rep whore you...
The game is fantastic! Thanks for sharing! I'm playing it on my PSP now.
that's so weird, i just downloaded this yesterday for another playthrough. i have always loved cave story, i played the shit out of it back when i didn't have a computer that could run games.
I've played this game so very, very much. Aside from it seemingly not working in windowed mode (I got really lousy frame rates) I've only ever encountered bugs twice in all my countless playthroughs, both times being a game freeze - and I'm inclined to blame the laptop my school lent me for both instances.
It's a superlative game and the whole thing with one guy meticulously polishing a game for five years completely on his own is almost enough to inspire me to pick up my discarded "C++ in 21 days" book from the floor, where it's been lying for a year and a half. Well, almost. I'm kinda hungry, it's late, I bought a few games from Steam for cheap I might want to try, I've got the entire Wheel of Time to reread...
Maybe the WiiWare version can rekindle my enthusiasm. When it was announced I swore to myself I wouldn't do a Super Mario 64 and play through the game before getting the remake, and now it's been a year and a half... *Whimper*
The guys at Nicalis seem to be working rather slowly, but on the other hand, I have the utmost faith in them delivering a good port. They've got NIfflas, creator of Knytt, after all.
