no from me as well
Not at all.

DRM free, reasonable prices and sometimes awesome discounts = Win!
The odd one i specifically wait for the sales with but on the whole there about where id expect them to be. Finances lately have forced me to be a tight g*t so my recent purchases havent been reflecting this (shame on me!) but you do realise the amount of work that goes into many of them right?

e: oh your from 2008 so please disregard this comment as you already know if youve been around that long!

Yeah, sometime you get indie games crazy cheap in bundles but the difference between crazy cheap and the 'normal' retail price is pretty consistent across all DD sites, not just GOG
Also GOG sells games for the same price globally unlike certain other DD sites who really jack up the price in certain territories (Australia often gets ripped off IIRC)
Old games = No

New indie games = one or two could be priced better (Omerta case in point), but by and all your paying bit extra by default for DRM free imho..most of us are fine with that
Noooooo! Do you know what a mission it is to get some old games to run on Windows 7 and now 8.
I am forever grateful to GOG for saving my sanity:)

I know that feeling, you just have to get that one game working:)
If 6 bucks for a game (or 2 bucks during a promo) is too much for you, find yourself another hobby, bro...

some of the indie games are a lil bit more expensive than on other sites, but who buys them anyway! :P

They are not too expensive if I really want to play a particular title and don't want to wait for a better deal. But like the OP said, you can get some of the same games cheaper somewhere else if you can wait a bit.

My impulse buy price is max $2.50, and you can get entire game bundles for that price. Indie games in particular are in a bit of a difficult position because bundles are so numerous these days. Unless you really want to play something ASAP, you can often get a $25 game for a buck if you just wait a bit. And even if a particular game doesn't get into a bundle, you can probably get something else like it. The Steam sales have more attractive prices, and now ShinyLoot as well, and they are DRM free. Just because GOG prices are good doesn't mean they're currently very competetive. Gaming has never been this cheap.

I can drop a couple of euros on a game on a whim, but it just gets hard to justify myself spending even $6 on a new game when my backlog gets filled up with bundles I also want to play. There are so many good indie games now! Not that I don't want to support indie devs, but spending more than pocket change on games I might never play is just not a smart way to handle personal finances. Games are entertainment, not food and rent.

Maybe it's a bit strange, but GOG would get more money from me if they had more prices in the impulse buy range.

If even they are, I'll gladly pay extra to get my games DRM-free.
If you think that less than $2 for a game which can entertain you during hours (no matter what genre it belongs to, according to the time you play, to compete it or to try/play again), well I think that the next step is F2P games.

And after years of "internets", I am tired of online gaming, that's why I love DRM-free games now. And depending of the money you have, paying for a game wich needs to play hours, if it costs less than a drink, it isn't expensive.

WoodsieLord: I found myself purchasing less and less GOG games over time. Like it or not, mobile changed the pricing mindset for digital distribution, and prices have been getting lower. This holds true if not upon launch, then by heavy discounts several weeks into the release. Not to mention bundles in which you can get great games for a buck a pop. In short, GOG games come across as insanely expensive to me in comparison and I cannot bring myself to purchase much anymore.

Anyone else feel the same?
Me not. You cannot really compare GOG games and mobile games. The later ones are often much more simplified and offer comparably less total entertainment. The difference in value justifies the difference in price as long as you only buy GOG games during sales. So take 50% or more off from the prices of GOG games and what you get is about reasonably priced. At least that's my opinion.

However there are some crappy, overpriced games on GOG and I still buy less and less, but not because I cannot afford them or find them too expensive but because I have not enough time to play them.

Witcher 2 EE on GOG for only $5 during the last sale! This is really extremely cheap for something you easily spend 20 hours playing and watching! Take a taxi in any big city of the world and you pay a multiple.

Most gog games I have would require several months before being considered finish. 5$ is not expensive at all in my opinion. How much do you pay for cinema in your realmz ?
