Today we're launching the first GOG.com Affiliate Spotlight, showing off some of the sites that are helping out GOG.com and supporting classic games. The first partner we'd like to show some love to is DOSBox.com!

[url=http://www.dosbox.com]DOSBox is a freely available, cross platform emulator that allows you to run DOS programs. A number of games at GOG.com run on software, and we couldn't be more thankful for that. The first version of the emulator appeared on Sourceforge when Harekiet and Qbix decided to make it open source. Just a year ago, Qbix announced that the [url=http://www.dosbox.com]DOSBox emulator had been downloaded 10 million times! We've taken this opportunity to ask Qbix some questions about and GOG.com - [url=http://www.gog.com/en/news/affiliate_spotlight_dosbox/2009/06]read on to check out the interview, and be sure to visit their site!

I adore DOSBox for the simple reason that it lets me play my favourite game ever, TIE Fighter (Collector's CD), in all its glory, running at the right speed with the iMUSE soundtrack and support for gamepads. It's a really useful tool for people who still like to play DOS-based games.
two statements:
1. long live GOG
2. long live DOSBox
[bonus statement- long live scummvm]
DOSBox <3

Thanks for that it was interesting to read. The fact that dos box is out must help you guys with a lot of problems that could take ages to fix.
Having bought a fair few games now from gog that uses dos box and having no problems at all is a testament to both gog and dosbox staff :)
I grew up using Dos and so will my future kids.
Thanks to DOSBOX my future kids will have to learn how to play the way I did.
Hell I wont even let them use GOG games until they've gone through my real collection of DOS games i got next to me.

Woohoo! Dosbox! :)
The greatest piece of software in the last five years.
Nice initiative. And DOSBox: thanks for giving me the opportunity to enjoy Cannon Fodder.

A big thank you to the DOSBox team. You have saved many of my old games from extinction.
