I would like to play (almost) all of them, but I am really looking forward to Outlaws (my personal favorite since I was three years old), which is one the best FPS ever made (under my eyes of course) and is a great game even today and Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, which I enjoyed a lot as a lad because it was a lot like Tomb Raider, but with more stuff to do.
Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe.

toxicTom: Well you should definitely give Monkey Island 1 + 2 a try... That said, I don't condemn cartoony looks per se - I think DotT did it perfectly with all that whackiness and Full Throttle was wonderfully drawn too.
Thanks for your reply, it was the sort I was hoping for. The art style of an adventure game never makes or breaks it for me, it is the narrative elements (characters, story, setting, themes) and then the gameplay. The Longest Journey is my favorite adventure game I've played, and then there are a bunch of others that don't come close but are also quite great and I love, including Full Throttle and The Dig. So as long as it is good, I figure I will like it. I consider DotT, Sam and Max, Indiana Jones atFoA all to be great (not quite as great as The Dig and Full Throttle, though.) What you said definitely makes me want to try Monkey Island 1+2.

As a side note I've never played Loom or Grim Fandango. Loom wasn't at the store where I bought my games for some reason so I never even knew about it, and I tried a demo of GF back when it came out and it didn't run on my computer, then I started college and now it's been ~15 years since all of that.

Well I hope MI is coming here soon. And Loom too. With Loom there is a special problem: You need two versions, and need to play them both :-). The original Disk version has all the text, but no voiceover. I would love if they could get the Amiga version (with ScummVM) here, this one is IMHO the best. The CD version has voiceover - which adds a lot of atmosphere. On the other hand they cur some of the text (IIRC because of technical problems with the voiceover sync). So it's kind of incomplete.

Either way Loom is one of the most magical and beautiful games I've ever played. I did another run (I stopped counting...) a few years ago with my wife and it hasn't lost any of it's magic.

I bought the CD from the dollar shelf at a computer store (and unfortunately it didn't come with a manual), but it was actually quite fun to play. I think the idea behind it was very clever and they did a great job of turning something musical into an adventure.

Speaking of "toony", what would be really great (while not LucasArts) is ToonStruck, I had a blast playing that game.
Dark Forces 1 & 2
Shadows of the Empire (I liked it, even if the controls sucked)
Rogue Squadron (anything)

Hercs Adventures
Zombies Ate My Neighbors

opticq: I feel like this is a great opportunity to finally play some classics that I wanted to because they weren't here.

Just found out there's remastered editions of Monkey Island 1 & 2. I'm excited.
The first one is good, the second ones remake is not quite up to the same standard.
I feel it is much better to play with the older graphics with the voice overlay.

YES! This game has become a real underdog - not many people know about at all. One of the very few games where I was actually in tears - from laughing so hard (dispatching the alligators...).

Tried to get it to run again a few years ago but failed - but I think I read somewhere that ScummVM now supports it.
PHM Pegasus

Ok, I'm kidding a bit but I hope gog will not focus solely on blockbuster and will bring those older, not-so-famous LA games as well.

Can't wait!

I still have the original game discs, if I'm not mistaken, it ran under DOS, I'll try and see if I can get it up in a DOSBox session.

...and you're right, it is one of the underdogs --but the voice acting was superb, the gags a lot of fun; Christopher Lloyd and Tim Curry did great in those roles. I still get a laugh when I see "VG" next to their roles in the Internet Movie Database. It was probably one of the few games that actually kept me at the keyboard for more than a couple hours at a time, waiting to see what was next.

I played this game together with my younger brother and we couldn't stop until dawn broke. One of the few adventure games where I never had to consult a walkthrough, too.

Maybe we can petition GOG to acquire it. I'm not sure who has the "Virgin" logo games now, but they had other titles at the time. Talk about diversity. This one could easily go for $19.99.

Well there's the wishlist entry. But the problem is - not many people know the game actually exists and is awesome. So not many wishes. And that's also the problem with a higher price - only the people who already know (and love) the game would actually pay it.
Grim Fandango, Full Throttle, Dark Forces 1, and the Monkey Island series.

I bought the game long ago when it was on a store shelf, but I'm pretty sure there was an ad out there on one of the other games I had. I did some searching and found the following fan-made trailer on YouTube:

Maybe that will help a bit.
