Not all battles are worth fighting. Removing a tweets and acting weak, is the right way to handle irrational responses. Let you opponent claim perceived victory, by sacrificing what's meaningless to you.

Kailen: Except now they have an opening. A weakness. A method of attack. Now they know that they can manipulate gog.com in the future, by feigning outrage. This doesn't give them a "perceived" victory. It gives them a victory, and one that they will abuse again and again in the future.

The best course of action would have been to ignore them entirely, leave the tweet up, and just weather their attacks. The attacks mean nothing, would have no effect, except what *YOU* surrender to them. And Gog surrendered.
The best course of action would've been to not tweet that at all. If GOG was smart they would've known that tweet would backfire on them, what did they expect? that social media brigade will ignore it and not care? That just shows how little they know about social media, where everyone finds a reason to get offended and piss of the other side, be it females in games or male only games.
Who knows what would happen if they left the tweet, mass reports, mass media attention, future publishers/developers not taking them seriously etc. They should just stop caring about political views, if they want to continue having base from all kinds of people, this will just turn into "GOG is bigot, no more games" "GOG is catering to SJWs, no more games" and so on in endless circle.

that would be very liable to a lawsuit

that or GOG would avoid using Twatter (i.e the new tumbler in our age of censorship)
because the way i see it, if people can come up and other call them Nazis
when they are infact NOT, how is that even remotely acceptable?

problem is avoiding twitter can put you out of the loop on things, but it isnt acceptable, but sadly mobbing on twitter is far to common and its often better to be safe then sorry.

point of fact, their outrage pretty much confirms they're the root source of the decline in video game
journalism

but i'll keep it civil and say "each to his own"
though censorship is unacceptable.

You are misunderstanding me, and to be frank thats more my fault then yours, I have never been good at airing my views so lets try this again:

I think its stupid that GOG deleted the tweet, that is what I meant by "taking the risk".
I am not offended by the tweet, never have been, never will be.

I am just stating that I think its sad that to protect a social media account from a JOKE they had to delete the tweet due to the snowflake agenda.

Does that clear it up for you?

and yes, censorship is unacceptable.

edit2: I have ADHD so often my brain is filled with thoughts and reactions so thats why my typing is...chaotic, it can be hard to filter the line noise for me.
