1. 5G - The tech needs massive amounts of towers(like every few miles or less) to repeat the signals, and they are eyesores/cause damage to the environment/possibly cause cancer.

But corps/gov't wants it so YAY no regulation(or next to none) or testing of health effects(same with wireless devices).

2. Smart phones - They're good for wasting time and getting young'uns to spend their parents money/give them their personal info....most older phones could text/make calls good enough for most people in the past.

3. Smart devices - They're there to collect data to advertise/spy(likely) for big business, just so joe schmoe can turn on/off his lights and order pizza without moving an inch.

4. Biometric data -What? Like DNA sampling? Well, it may be good in helping solve old cases & the like(or identifying remains in massive disasters and accidents where normal forensics isn't good enough(without a DNA marker/fingerprint to reference). Otherwise, it'll likely be used at some point to keep tabs on "dissidents" and "wrongthinkers"(sadly).

5. Implanted chips - GOOD for pets(that get lost)....not so good for people. Plus with the aforementioned phones/etc one can be "chipped" via those devices without going through invasive surgery(which would have to be REPEATED every 3-5 years as upgrades became available and old chips failed.

6. Newer windows OSs - The only bad things about them(imo) are stuff like spying applications(cortana/etc), unskippable(for long) updates which can happen anytime if MS feels like forcing them, and bloated code. I miss old windows(XP/98se/etc) where one could pick/choose updates & do them when one felt like it.

7. DRM - Not viable as a prevention method(for thos who are smart, anyways), a waste of money(for game companies) for a false sense of security on corp IPs, etc.

8. DRM'd devices - It's mainly there to (supposedly) implement controlled obselescence (through killswitches) & keep people from repairing stuff/using generic stuff with a device(generic ink and K-cups for coffee machines, etc).

9. Siri - She WILL harvest your SOUL. 0.o

Of course, I also feel I must play the devil's advocate a bit: I think that if people weren't raised to be treated so special/highly by family/friends(being given participation awards, being constantly pampered & told they're more important than they are) while hidden from everything negative(even constructive criticism and minorly negative comments) can have it's downsides.....as it usually leads to people having thinner skin & not being able to turn away from such negative things online.

I horribly noticed the difference in height when i went from a 16" 4:3 monitor to a 15" 16:9 monitor. The 16" (4:3) screen is 12.8"w * 9.6"h; the 15" (16:9) screen is 13.07"w * 7.35"h. The extra inch or two made a huge difference, and thus that article really resonates with me.

Re the second part: Exactly.
To an extent, I am annoyed by the behaviour of those who (especially if it is done in the name of tolerance/inclusion/etc or whatever) will not even consider listening to some person speak who has differing views (on some issue or issues), even if the speech isn't promoting the views the first party is objecting to. Especially when they (1st party) stage walkouts and otherwise prevent others from listening if they wished to.

Oddly enough, I never noticed the change when switching monitor types. :\

This happens alot, sadly, with the social media "giants".....i.e. people getting deplatformed and shunned/shadowbanned/IRL arrested and charged in court over holding certain(mainly conservative/nationalistic) views.

People like Tommy Robinson and Sargon of Akkad(both have their high and low poingts, and I don't agree with them on everything, but they are right that some stuff is being swept under the rug in the name of public order/cohesion & making money) are being deplatformed or called names/shunned en masse because they show people stuff they don't want to see or they don't want others to see.

The health craze has ruined certain cereals' flavour. Fruit Loops for breakfast used to be sugary, fruity heaven in a bowl. Now it's like eating coloured, slightly flavoured dust cold-pressed into rings, with milk....

Not to mention that fruit loops isn't loops anymore(it's like dry cat food with multiple shapes in most versions). Also many cereals keep trying to rip each other off by releasing chocolate/marshmallow/sugar frosted versions of competitor's cereals to eek in to said markets.

Yeah, I have been keeping track of the whole "monitoring state" and "civil credit system" the chinese have implemented & it bothers me to no end(and even WORSE, how some countries/politicians have even ADVOCATED bringing some elements of it to other countries)

Using such in some areas(airports/stadiums/etc) for security seems fine, though....if not used to profile everyone, but merely to search for criminals(Fun Fact: The super bowl does this to catch uncaught criminals every year). Vaccines being mandatory: I'm all for it for the "big" diseases as it helps build herd immunity.

(vaccine "toxins" touted by those against such are either in the wrong forms to hurt people/in small amounts to be non-issues, and the autism link hasn't been proven objectively. yes, some people suffer from vaccine due to unique dna/physiology and the odd "dud" vaccine, but that's to be expected)

GMO food: Not all GMO food is bad.

(heck, many staple crops like apples[modified for flavor/sweetness, even in "organic" varieties] and bananas[modified for sweetness/size/shape] are modified in MOST varieties...even "organic" ones)

Imo, calling all/most GMOs bad because "they're modified/unnatural" is like people calling ALL additives for food(even natural/neutral ones) bad because "they're chemicals"(everything is made from chemicals).

Pesticides: This one I agree with.....this is bad as most of them cause cancer/issues, and natural alternative exist. Modern farming would be hard to accomplish at current output levels with natural ones, though. :\

Baby formula: Many(Including Adam Connover[even if his stuff is a bit propaganda-ish sometimes]) have proven formula is needed for those without access to natural milk(they can't lactate or don't know anyone who is who can help them) & that formula is nutritionally(and chemically, for the most part) the same as breast milk.
