AI & UI Improvement, Jumping Bug Fixes

Human NPC's "searching enemy" behavior had been pretty bland. I made some improvements for this behavior:

• Each NPC will have a "courage" value determined by his squad's condition, his health condition, and weapon

• When this NPC decides to search for an enemy that vanished from his sight, depending on the courage value, he might:
-- Rush to the last know position of the enemy
-- Wait there and aim at the last know position of enemy for some time
-- While aiming, walk towards a random position to search
-- While aiming, crouch-walk towards a random position to search
• Overall, making NPCs less "dumb aggressive".

• When NPC is crouch-walking while out of your sight, you won't see the noise circle until he's very close.

• Added more "SHIFT+Click / RightTrigger + A" usage in the inventory:
-- To move item from backpack to planting UI's seed/fertilizer slots
-- To move an item back to the trader
-- To move an item into motorcycle's fuel/scrapmetal slot
-- To move an item into an interactive object's slot
• And now when you quick-move items into a slot, it'll move 1 count of it each time you shift+click. For example, with the grain mill, which needs 4 seeds, you just shift+click 4 times to move 4 seeds.

• You can now quick-move a tool item in the backpack into the TOOL slot and replace whatever is already there.

• Fixed some bugs with the jumping/rolling animation. It used to cause player to hop into the sky whenever the frame rate is low. After some coding overhaul, jump and falling feel a lot more natural now and is no longer affected by frame rate.

• Fixed a bug with applying bandages while crouching which caused player to be visible to enemies.

• Added better error prompt when player tries to use G to quick-throw a non-grenade item such as the stink gourd. G for Quick Grenade is only used for grenades, to prevent player from panic-smashing G and wasting an item when they don't have a grenade equipped.

• Forced an achievement check for "Pulitzer" achievement whenever the game loads, in case the Steam API somehow missed it.

• The Blessed rock and rock of rejuvenation in Ravenwood will no longer make item disappear if you put an invalid item in it

Dear colony managers, we have continued to improve the global management system, but have also found and ironed out a few bugs.

① Radio Noises
When characters speak, the voice output is sometimes missing because we have added new content to the game since the dubbing. The replacement sounds no longer sound like talking backwards, which irritated many people. Instead, they sound like real radio interference.

② Holographic Projection
We've also added a fancy holographic projection effect. When characters radio in and out.

③ Building Debris
Damaged and destroyed buildings now emit a rain of components that have been loosened by the explosion. I don't know if anyone noticed, but they were rocks ;D

④ Cancel actions for items
You can now only cancel item processes with a quick right-click, so that you don't accidentally deactivate them when moving the camera.

⑤ Bookmark Panel
Descriptions of buildings are now displayed in the bookmark panel. A planet icon is now displayed outside the construction area.

⑥ More Improvements
• Warehouse Auto-Harvest remains off when you move a building or build new ones.
• Visualizing pause play time more clearly
• A guide to user interface, controls and handling. Big thanks to MB for writing a detailed explanation of the interface and all its elements!

A very large update for Volume 1 is here. You can read the details in the changelog below. Myself and my beta testing team have put a lot of hours into checking for problems, but no software is ever bug free. A few of the biggest changes are finally getting consistent unlock of achievements on Macs, a big UI overhaul to make things easier to find and read through, notification banners to let you know about key events or results from your choices, a complete reworking of the music and sound effects to be better balanced, consistent, and unique to each of our lovely ladies, and you can adjust the font size for dialogue now in settings.

Stardew Valley 1.6.3 - And for those unaware like I was a week ago, 1.6 brought a lot of new content.

Hey everyone,

The 1.6.3 update is here, which includes some "Quality of Life" changes, bug fixes, and balance adjustments. Patch notes below:

-You can now access Clint's shop and geode service while your tool is being upgraded.
-Increased raccoon bug meat and bat wing request amount
-Harvesting moss now grants 1 foraging exp per moss
-Infinite Power achievement is now more generous with how it activates, allowing pre-1.6 saves to trigger the achievement
-Adds mine cart shortcut to year 1 Spirit's Eve festival
-You now have to collect (not just donate) the 4 prismatic shards for the "Four Precious Stones" Qi Quest
-The JunimoKart Qi Quest now rewards 20 Qi gems (up from 10)
-Adds new cabins to starter layouts for multiplayer.
-Starter cabins now appear in the actual order intended.
-Adult mossy green rain trees boost the moss growth rate of nearby trees
-If a Journal quest title is too wide, the clock icon and the rest of the text will be shifted down to make room
-You can now press the Escape or menu button to "go back" on a shipping menu category page
-Adjustments to moss growth (grows slower on sunny summer days, recovers slower after harvest)
-Reduced meteorite prismatic shard chance (100% -> 25%)
-You can now paint the new cabins (at 3rd upgrade level)
-Ancient seed packets excluded from sale at traveling cart
-Made waterfall and other ambient positional sounds fade out more smoothly
-Added a catch-all case: if it's year 2 and you don't have a pet (for any reason), you can start adoptinng them from Marnie's
-Made berry bush state consistent overnight and on load (both at 20% plus a small new random bonus chance)

-Fixes large character sprites having a visual glitch (e.g. bear, island frog, clint hammering)

Cool. Thanks for letting me know. Just out of curiosity, how did you find out? It wasn't mentioned in the changelog for the game (in the GOG library).
