You know what... I'll likely surprise everyone by saying this... but I kinda liked it. Or at least it was better than I expected. It's not a high set bar, but still. Yeah, it's all sorts of anticlimactic, but I just wanted to be done with this war. And as a bonus we got rid of Tyler too! Ok, so it's terribly rushed, rather silly and can't keep a consistant tone for two scenes and doesn't make much sense. Well, that's Discovery's writing for you. But at least we end the season with a sort-of clean slate. We're moving on. Maybe we'll actually move on to something better, and not just more war next season. I just wish Saru got promoted and got the command.
And yeah, that bit with the Enterprise... again, on one hand the canon got buttfucked like nobody's business this season, and on the other the show keeps relying on it. Look, it's Sarek! Look, it's Harry Mudd! Look, it's Defiant! But I'll give them this at least- they did show a more or less properly looking Enterprise, not like few episodes ago where we only got this strange silhouette of Defiant on screen.
