I've went the normal channels using the WishList. It's been over a year and other requests on the same topic have been there over a year and no response. It is so frustrating.

Loyal customer for a long time with a LARGE library of games and the TAG system includes all tags chosen making this a lost opportunity to be a great asset in finding and sorting games in the library.

Example for Clarity: Tags used - Classic, Completed, Space, RPG, Arcade, Roguelike, Play Next, TextBased, 4X, Simulation, Horror, Adventure point and click, etc.
--- I want to play an RPG. Well, that doesn't help lessen the amount of games I need to look through very much!
--- ok, then. I just want to play what I've tagged as Classic RPG.
I just want to look through the classic RPG's. Still a large list, but something specific. I can't even do this. As soon as I add Classic to my filter, I get ALL classic games, the shooters, the Space, the arcades, anything I've tagged as a classic. What you would wish for, is for the filter to show only those that match both tags. But say this worked, wich would be a huge boon and all
--- if I wanted to narrow it down more, I could add Classic Roguelike RPG's.

Adding the filter option of AND / OR / NOT would be such a supreme help. It is so frustrating to have such a huge library and not being able to manage it properly.

No help via Wishlist. Can someone in the know put the word to the higher ups about this seemingly simple request? It's going on years with no response.

I have no issues selecting multiple tags in my library, which is what I assume you're talking about since you can't filter by tag in your wishlist.
It's the same with store filtering. Apparently I might want games with either Achievements OR Cloud saves OR Controller support. When I select those features together I of course mean that any of those would do, what else could it be.

I sometimes wonder if gog staff themselves ever use their own store.

Good luck listing all RPGs in your library that you have not completed yet.

Unless you've got a tag for "Completed games" and another one for "Non-completed games", of course. :P

You don't immediately tag all your new purchases as uncompleted? Am I the only one?

Errrr... who knows? Maybe? I sure don't.

Anyway, the main (and the OP's) point here is that whenever you select multiple tags, they get combined as a logical OR, when most of the time it would make more sense to combine them as a logical AND.

Of course, the optimal solution would be to let you choose, so you could obtain whatever subset of your library you desired.

I was being sarcastic. But yeah, I may have misinterpreted what they were trying to say. It wasn't super clear.

Well, you never know. I've got a pretty OCD-inclined personality myself but, thankfully, compulsive game library tagging isn't one of its outlets. xD

Did I ever show you that "Luke has OCD" vid?

No, but please do.

Exactly. It is hard coded OR. Glad you chimed in as I am not as good in trying to get points across.

With a large library, and currently being able to Tag them however you desire (as specific or generic as you wish), it seems a lost opportunity to not go that last step so that we have supreme control over sorting our games when we are looking for something to play.

It really means a lot to me. I have more games than I will ever finish via GOG. But when the mood strikes me to play a game of a certain genre (say Space RPG) the ability to not go through all the titles would be great.

And sometimes its not just the titles, and I need to read descriptions on games to check to see if it fits the genre I wanted to spend my gaming time on. Because there are a lot of Space games that are different (shooters, ship combat, CIV type 4X, RPG's, Arcade style, to name a few tags that could be applied). Plus tags that denote special things: Completed, Favorites, Classic, Play Next List, etc.

I have over 350 games. So you know that there are plenty of space games that I don't know all the details about and going through so many descriptions just to see if it is the genre I want to play is more time I'm not playing.

When you frustrate; masturbate!!
Why do you have all those games installed at once? Could explain why you're having trouble picking a game.
