muntdefems: Good luck listing all RPGs in your library that you have not completed yet.

Unless you've got a tag for "Completed games" and another one for "Non-completed games", of course. :P

firstpastthepost: You don't immediately tag all your new purchases as uncompleted? Am I the only one?
I actually do do this. Any new purchases are automatically tagged as "backlog" and freebies are tagged as "unplayed freebie". This prioritizes games I spent money on.

My reasoning for doing this is to remind myself I still have unplayed games that I've paid for so I shouldn't go overboard with spending. In my ealier years with GOG, I noticed my backlog creeping to over 70 games. Some of those game had better discounts in the future too, it is also pointless to buy games but not play them. At that time, I decided my current spending habits were wasting money.

At least now if I buy a game, play it soon after and it goes on sale cheaper than when I bought it, I don't care because I wanted to play the game at that time. Also, this system has kept my backlog quite low, I only have 8 games tagged as "backlog" as of this post. I also have a large collection of games like the OP, 308 games as of this post

Darvond: Why do you have all those games installed at once? Could explain why you're having trouble picking a game.
I have a hard drive for games exclusively. I have a couple of hard drives sitting on my shelf not being used but they have old files on. So if I have the hard drive space, why not have them installed. If I want to play, why would I want to wait for it to download and install when it can be already?

Besides, I think it still shows up in the library if you have it installed or not, which means me cutting my library of playable games down by uninstalling isn't even a bad solution (at best), its no solution.

@IwubCheeze - Admire your Will score. I look at the sales and say, this is something I could get into and it is on sale... *sigh*

At this point though, (its too late now to make much a difference) I have sated even my desire for new games. I just would like to find/sort the ones I have already bought to take full advantage of the library I have accumulated.

Now it's 700?

I had the same mentality, too, but my hard drive is now failing. The more you write, the ore it fails, and part of the issue is that the chkdsk and defrag programs are corrupting files. My last playthrough of vtmb i had to install it like 3 times before i was done, from all the corruption. And we won't talk about bigger games like skyrim and oblivion where the ground is disappearing.

If you don't mind manual descriptions, i'm really sure a spreadsheet would do for you.

The solution is for me to start a spreadsheet with titles of games? Should I add the tags there too? Descriptions? Pictures? Can I suck the fun out of gaming any more than doing these things?

Another solution is to fix tags in Galaxy to be of benefit, which it is capable of but hasn't reached that potential except in the most rudimentary sense. That has my vote.
I just noticed that this issue was first brought up that I found (in some form) in 2015. In 2017 it was brought up again and again explicitly.

I guess what I am saying, this is not a new request and is one that doesn't look like it is going to be dealt with.
