Abe's Oddysee reconstructed.

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty, a critically acclaimed restoration of Abe's Oddysee, is available now on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux with a 10% launch discount!

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty earns the right to call itself a true remake. It's so much more than just a graphical upgrade, it's a modern retelling of the unforgettable experience that Abe's Oddysee was all these years ago. The unsettlingly beautiful visuals, the disturbingly odd universe, and the unforgivingly difficult gameplay were enough to leave a lasting impression on anyone who encountered Abe's Oddysee. Seventeen years later, Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty retains the setting, the sounds, and the flavor; all brought up to modern platforming par, and beyond, with updated controls, refined mechanics and a reconstructed experience.

Also available for purchase are two pieces of DLC:
-Bonus level: Alf's Escape, a brand-new extensive level with completely fresh New 'n' Tasty mechanics.
-Alternative costume: Scrub Abe

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty makes a tremendous impression, rose-tinted glasses not required. It's available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 10% launch discount will last for one week, until Wednesday, March 4, at 4:49 PM GMT.
Very nice. So, this game has already two DLCs?

No, they are available to buy separately.
Sigh. Day one DLC's on GOG.
If you have a problem with day one DLC (and you are right to do so IMO), vote with your money. Buy the game and don't buy the DLC, or don't buy anything, but let GOG know.
For frack's sake, they didn't even combine the DLCs into one? And here I was, thinking I'd never pass up an Oddworld release...

Moaning about DLC again? Oh GOG how low we have stooped.
So, the remake costs three times as much and has day one DLC. Not a great first impression. Has the original aged well?

The original has not aged well. Sure it still plays and looks fine however it has some little things that just make the game a frustrating shit heap. A perfect example of a game that was great at the time.
It will be a cold day in hell when I buy a DLC anywhere.Just don't want this site turn into that Steam crap, when you open store page you see 2 games and 456457 billion f...... DLC's
Was worried when the library only showed the DLCs for Windows when it unlocked but not the main game but thankfully that only took a few minutes to get fixed.

Great release.

Let's hope our new friends at Paradox don't go overboard here~

DLC tends to suck, but I'm more concerned about how it's being handled on shelves and in the catalog. I don't own any so I'm wondering, how does it show up and what is your opinion of the way it appears on one's shelf?

It shows up as separate installers :)

A separate purchase for a single costume? I think that horse has already left the barn.

I was refering to the number of DLCs (Crusader Kings 2) rather than the content. Not a big fan of costume/horsearmor tier DLC myself.
