viperfdl: Luckily I'm not the only one who recognized the similarity with EVE.
I think anybody familiar with EVE will make the same connection.

Not a good year for me to drop money on EA projects, no matter how appealing looking, but I think congratulations to GOG curation team for actually getting something noteworthy in the catalogue is in order.

This absolutely looks like the kind of a title that GOG would benefit from having more of. Not just in terms of genre - an indie game with, at a first glance (and hopefully a truthful impression), a dedicated developer, that's actually focused on gameplay rather than making some kind of "artistic" or political statement.

I find myself surprisingly impressed with GOG announcements of late, even if the stupid page redesign means I've probably missed out on more than a few of them.

I have other things to do than check your site even on weekly basis, GOG. Bring back the damn "show older" news feature.

Or just the old news section. It was not only "fine," it was outright excellent in its presentational, informational, and access value.

Yep definitely EVE offline. Might actually dive into this. I didnt like the always online aspect of EVE Online. Kinda killed all the fun.

EVE Offline you say? Color me interested! I've been quite interested in EVE Online back then, but i couldn't bother with an online game that required so much free time to be invested, even in periods that i would normally like to take a break from gaming. It didn't feel like a healthy game at all, but then again that's what i think about most MMOs anyway.
Must say that I like how... "real" the description of this seems, and bonus points for specifying what the game isn't.
Otherwise, as with any such game, I'll see about level of interest after actual release, and assuming that promised story will be included. Not keen on the mentioned random side missions as it is.
Oh, now this just pushes all of my buttons. It's like the freaky lovechild of Rimworld and Eve!

Heck, I'll go for it straightaway. The Dread Pledger Roberts got a lot more than $15 out of me and I've bought everything from SPG to Evochron, so I'd just be doing it wrong if I didn't give this game a shot.
The game looked great so this was an instabuy for me. I'm a sucker for space sims :)
Modding the game seems quite easy which is also a big plus for me.

I really hope this game will succeed.
I'm torn. That life support thing on one hand sounds like an interesting additional feature but looks like an unfun pain in the ass. I hope the right equip can make it a non-issue.

Now that the dev is around here (pls go take a look at the forums, although he still lacks the orange colour!) you can directly ask him about that. For now, he is answering people there helped by some testers and modders.

I have clear my doubts now, seeing how they are responding to people, helping, already hearing also feedback and even committing to change or add things. Nice job, dev!

Oh, and bought!

I have to assume he watches the (indev)release thread of his own game :P

When he has to say something he will say something. If not, then not.

Won't stop me from following this game. :)
Hopefully I will love it. It seems to be inspired by EVE online, but singleplayer, with more control on the ship. and without lots of wrong updates and drama. :)

Anyway I care about the setting too. I love RPG, I like sandbox too, but I want a decent degree of "realism" and coherence.
Even better if it will be possible to create new stories with mods... and maybe "full conversions" too? The amount of possibilities and what that would do for the longevity of the game...

First for me though is about not being sent on a road which is forced down your throat for political/moralistic reasons... too many RPGs and other games have been "hijacked" by THEM. ;) F**k SJW! Especially if they make "remakes" of older games (or the new games of a good old serie) like BG, they reach the extreme when they make it impossible to get the original games the way they were without buying their garbage. -_- Rant over. Good luck with your game!

After playing this game for a bit, it's not really that hard to get into it. It's relatively easy, actually. Especially if you have played this type of games before. So don't be afraid of that part!

There's a lot of little things to learn, but you can start with simple things and slowly learn everything that interest you as you go. I don't like tutorials, and enjoy learning everything myself, and so far so good. :)

The amount of interesting factions in the game, make it quite hard to chose witch one you want to be a part of. And i freaking love that! :D

Music is very nice and works perfectly for this type of games.

The only thing, the ingame achievements works, but GOG achievements can't seems to be unlocked as of now. But there are GOG achievements, even tho it's not mentioned on the store page.

Hope this help answering some questions some may have!

Game is great btw! :D
