Yes.
Why can steam have witcher and cyberpunk. But they can't give us half-life and portal here.
Pure discrimination.

P. Zimerickus: If CDPR shows some balls, their next three games will be pc limited to GoG!
Actually CDPR can show you one big ball (on a small bear) when their GOG pages fail to load.

because that would cause confusion since there is no workshop support

Somebody who rarely uses mods and want to play the original game i don't see your point. This is a choice if you need mods. There could be also mods not on the workshop then.
But anyway the workshop requirement falls flat.

in my opinion valve's drm on their games is not bad after all because it only needs steam to launch and the good news is that you can activate offline mode on steam
also fan made mods such as snowdrop escape swelter and entropy zero 1 and 2 should not be on gog either because it would make it easier to pirate those mods

Clearly we need to add Denuvo to all games and free mods to 'fix' that problem then (including the one single game in your 5 year old account...)

Which is probably CP 2077...bought cheap on a key-reseller site.
one cool thing i like about valve is that they made a filmmaker called source filmmaker cd projekt red? never made a filmmaker
Oh my goodness…the goglodytes are tossing salads now. Rotflmao.

SFM is cool and all, but let's not act like it isn't a broken piece of abandonware.

I think a better question would be SHOULD GOG preserve valve games?

I'm sure it won't be "needed", but that's kind of the point with game preservation, isn't it ? ?

GOG is a store, they exist to make a profit. If they didn’t, they’d go bankrupt so their focus is on making a sale, not on preservation. Game preservation is a different matter entirely and is handled by non-profit organizations like the Video Game History Foundation, the Videogame Heritage Foundation, or the Game Preservation Society.

There are also museums and archives that have more recently begun including video games in their collections. Still, it would be great to see games preserved at a governmental level, similar to how we treat books or films.

If you care about game preservation, these are the kinds of organizations that truly need your support.
Yes, they should, especially the Half-Life and Portal games. I already own the Valve games on Steam, and some of them are even DRM-Free once downloaded and zipped up. Releasing them on GOG would provide another avenue of revenue and exposure (not that these games need it) and I’d double-dip and buy them again if they ever released here to have GOG copy.
