F1ach: Anyone remember which Indy game had you floating down a river in a rubber dingy applying patches to a leak as you travelled?
That is "Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine" - I hope it will show up on GOG, too. :)
Okay, kids, guess what time it is! YES!!! 'Spending all ma money'-time!™ I may also finally pick up Rebellion along with it, which would make me the owner of all Disney/LA games on GOG. What can I say? I approve these releases and I would like to see more, and we all know that money talks. ;)

Anyway, I wasn't quite expecting this, but I ain't complainin'! No, siree, Bob! Funnily, I don't even remember Zack McKraken and Loom having a PC VGA version. Cool beans. I've also never played those two before - gasp away! - so that should be a nice experience. :)

Now where did my wallet go to hide?

anomaly: I know it's not the same publisher or rights owner or anything, but getting Outlaws on GoG has given me some hope that some day we will get NOLF and NOLF 2 as well. I just have to be patient...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think he is serious.
From NDS twitter
GDC was exceptional! Not only that but there have been developments in the NOLF story...my life has literally turned into a spy thriller

Didnt someone mention Night Dive was being bumped as another party was already in discussions?

Not sure. Is it possible you mean my speculation that WB decided to have GOG do the legwork instead of NDS, thus skipping the cut they would have to pay NDS for their work?
Wait so now that 24 titles have already been released from the originally intended batch of ~30 you're saying that more are coming in both the far and near future? That sounds to me like this partnership with Disney has increased and that's great news......let this be the start of GOG's rise as the primary gaming platform on the PC and the downfall of Steam.
Hell yes!

Zak is the FM Towns version! The DOS EGA version is also included. Loom seems to the DOS VGA CD version with speech.

Latest version of ScummVM as well. Well done GOG :)

tfishell: Nothing, but apparently the BEST versions of either game are not available on GOG. Check out the top reviews of either title.

Elmofongo: I know about the reviews but they did not really properly say why the 95 DOS CD ROM versions are better than the windows 98 version.
The main interface of the windows version of X-wing uses the stripped down Mac version (no transitions and different designs), there was a system that let you assign the AI of your wingmates that got stripped away, the CD tracks instead of MIDI make the music iMUSE system a bit less dynamic.
Tie Fighter win apart from the CD music issue is nigh perfect instead.

I played both games in both versions(grew up with the DOS CDs from the old "collezione CD-rom" budget games by CTO) and while many decry the lack of MIDI tracks I don't really mind as te John Williams music is awesome enough to compensate and contrary to what most say iMUSE it's still there, for example in Tie Fighter the Imperial March starts whenever you complete the primary mission objectives, they are missing only the brief snippets that sometimes you heard when minor events happened.

Only the X-wing remake made me go back to the old CD DOS version because my nostalgic self couldn't tolerate the use of an inferior mac port of the original as a basis for the win remake.

this is incredibly good news soo many titles

just bought

monkey island™ 2 special edition: lechuck’s revenge™
zak mckracken and the alien mindbenders
loom™
the dig®

and i like this part of the post very much:

let this be the start of GOG's rise as the primary gaming platform on the PC and the downfall of Steam.

I have absolutely nothing against steam cause i really get good laughs there , with the greenlight, its so amazing what kind of (fill in whatever you can think of) games are put up and are trying to get greenlit

Ofcourse there are some decent and even good games i voted for cause they looked like oldschool games :D
but most of them is crap.................

But its time GOG gets to wear the scepter and be King... no better be the
Emperor , thats bigger then a King.

Steam has already more then enough with its 75 million users worldwide (at least so they say in various posts when i google and it might be possible)
Now its time GOG gets the spotlight
The Dig, finally. But just in english, why :(

BillyMaysFan59: Since this thread is about LucasArts stuff, thought I'd link this wishlist entry here:

Let's have a May the 4th Star Wars sale!
Just voted, but if it happens and I buy stuff, I'm blaming GOG for having the sale, my wallet for not having a huge wad of cash in it and YOU for bringing up the idea:P. After all, it's not my fault I buy games when I don't intend to. :P
Thank you GOG! I've been hoping for something like this since you announced the agreement with Disney. And not to sound ungrateful, but please keep more classic LucasArts adventures coming. ;)
How is that Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb game? Is it similar to Tomb Raider?
Loom! Finally!
This gives me confidence that Star Wars: Rebel Assault 1 and 2 will find their way on GOG...

Please oh please make this happen! :)
