TT_TT_TT_TT: The worst crime committed here is using Avast as an AV :D
Indeed. :)

Who knows? This is the place I bought the game. On my PayPal looked like the money was sent to GOG.COM.
You bought a GoG game from G2A? Well, that means you`re eff`d. G2A has absolutely no right to sell any GoG keys. If GoG finds out that you bought an illegal key, then it deletes the game from your library.
The money, that was stolen from you, wasn`t stolen by GoG, simply because they never got your credit card and bank account infos. Oh, and "Steam Powered" has also nothing to do with GoG.
Maybe you should contact your credit card company and see if they offer something similar to a 'Section 75' or 'Chargeback' service, where they reimburse certain transactions (acts of fraud, non-receipt of goods and other similar payment disputes etc) back to the customer, and then they pursue the other party themselves to recoup the total sum.

But lessons learnt. Do your research (thoroughly) before parting with your money on-line (and off-line) in future....

It's not GOG's fault since you bought your game elsewhere. So the fault and the blame lies with you and NOT GOG.com. Plus you could have gotten a virus from G2A when you bought your game which infected galaxy with a keylogger which is on you for visiting that site.
False positives tend to happen with game clients. Your best step would be to contact your credit card provider and avoid using G2A in the future.

No idea why a mod has not been here in to contact you but hey, least the community can advise. But truly, avoid using G2A bud, it's well known for being connected to issues like this. If you still need any pointers just hit me up
Well, at least you now know not to do business with G2A. They are shady as fuck.
Well and just to add to everything - Where was this infected Galaxy downloaded?
There is only 2 official sources for Galaxy right now and if it is the old galaxy its the link on the bottom right of the GOG page which links to: https://content-system.gog.com/open_link/download?path=/open/galaxy/client/setup_galaxy_1.2.67.58.exe
and for Galaxy 2.0 its this site: https://www.gog.com/galaxy which then leads to https://webinstallers.gog.com/download/GOG_Galaxy_2.0.exe?payload=......
(Payload link shortened as it seems customized/unique per Downloader)
If the OP really got a straight infected Galaxy.exe i assume that he downloaded it from a different source (having bought steam Keys on G2A and then coming to Gog making no sense anyway :D). Also Avast is known for a gazillon of false posítives.

also Avast was caught ``Avast and its subsidiary AVG, caught selling customer data to corporate clients last year, were supplying the information to Jumpshot, which in turn resold the data to corporate clients``

fr33kSh0w2012: I'm amazed GOG hasn't Banned you for:
Seeing how many accounts there still are around which should be locked and deleted because of obvious trolling/spamming (not to be mistaken with casual humour and civil discussion), don't hold your breath.

Speaking of GOG's compounded public relation failures; every new user should get an email about fake key sites and a warning about spamming they have to read and reply to.

And yes, OP's post smells spam all the way to Pluto. The fact that the only game he has is Sid Meier's Pirates was also kinda "tongue in the cheek" message. How's that for irony? :D
