you ask them. if you cant ask them or be bothered to track them down, you dont know and you shouldnt bother using it.

if you were to take the famous gogbear and mix it with ultra right wing or outright nazi symbolism, they may have an issue (for example). if you are simply using the original image and not causing problems then they likely wont have issue.
you can always email support or legal@gog.com for perfect clarification.

I feel I've seen another user use the internal images before. As long as you don't edit it as others have mentioned, it should be fine.

B1tF1ghter: Would using any GOG images (like for example the GOG-chan image from this ( " Midweek Sale: Japanese-Themed Games up to -80% " ) sale) as a profile picture here would be seen as breaking any GOG rules or TOS? Im asking because " "some other companies" " have various rules around these kind of things and Im not sure if I have seen GOG ever even slightly mentioning anything about this...

(Im asking because I would like to crop the current GOG-chan image and use it as my profile pic ;) :D )

I would appreciate if somebody from GOG team would make an official statement (and not just a personal opition)...

You may not get an official statement here so contact Support if you want one. I'll agree with Narushima's post above me. It helps that official staff have blue text so that makes it harder to impersonate some kind of official.
