Good for you. Buying free games costs nothing! :D
If you bought it...is it really free?

Is something freely given truly earned?

(BTW I wonder what OP said before he changed it)
So, if I understand correctly, this individual in all his magnanimity, intends to provide a game from GOG to another member here; by design it will be provided at no cost to them. Sometimes, the greatest of gifts are not given as a reward or for the desire for some sort of recompense, but because of selflessness or of love.

I think Op might've been trying to hold a giveaway...oh well, we will never know now unless they come back.

It takes time, and that is the most valuable resource in the world...
Maybe OP made this post before checking his bank account :P

Perhaps. If Op cannot do a giveaway I might do one later....gotta check my account first, though, to be on the safe side.
There are no real gifts in the world. You want at least some gratitude in return.

Eh, maybe for some...for me it is an optional extra.....when I give games I am just happy if someone is having fun or about to with said games.

(Dunno about others, though, but I assume some feel the same way)

It´s an old unanswered question in psychology and philosophy :)
Does true altruism exist?

Right, because even if you just feel good for helping others, knowing that their life is easier or better, you're still doing it for that good feeling which is a selfish thing in and of itself at its core.

I think it does in that people(if free will exists) do exist who merely want to see others enjoy something they enjoy or to see others be happy.

Of course one might subconsciously get a "dopamine high" from doing such and thus want to do so in some cases...that could also be a factor for some.

Sorta hivemind......but even if this is true for some I still see no bad reason not to do such if it makes some happier.

It took one reply to careen off the rails. I'd be looking at the wreck but fully hesitant to respond, were I in BStone's position.
