ReynardFox: Just reading the process required to get this content in a single player game makes me feel like I need to take a shower. Hard to believe so many of us once thought CDPR were the good guys...
Witcher 2 & 3 had exclusives cosmetics based where you pre-ordered the games, so having locked "exclusives" on some platform is nothing new in gaming nor even for CDPR.

After some time CDPR added those exclusives goodies as a free DLC, I hope they will do the same here.

EDIT: That being said I don't have issue with having exclusive cosmetic linked to watching some streamers, registering to a newsletter, etc... but asking peoples to send money to streamer to get it is rather scummy. Ok the gun itself is not that good and you can get better one for free in the game, but still.

Not that I don't think platform exclusive DLC isn't dirty, but as you said, CDPR of old did right and made them available to all later, but now? With the Galaxy-ransomed My Rewards content in play in both their flagship games? I don't think they're that charitable anymore.

I'd love to be proven wrong though.

Rules: Give away two Twitch subscriptions of any tier to a qualified channel that plays Cyberpunk 2077.
So, if I am reading this correctly, this single in-game item costs at least US$9.98, since the cheapest Twitch subscription costs US$4.99. Amazing.
I'm not sure I understand how this all makes sense marketing wise. I mean, I assume people streaming the game is supposed to promote the game. Fine. I don't get watching other people play games, but I accept the premise. But if getting in-game items is supposed to get people to watch the streamers, and pay them money... then that means they surely already have the game, right? No one would pay for items for a game they don't own. So... what's the point of this for CDPR?

1. Increased number of streamers playing / promoting Cyberpunk 2077, because they are getting money/subscribers through this scheme.
2. Streamers have in inflated viewer numbers, because paying Cyberpunk 2077 customers are forced unto twitch unless they want to miss out on content cut from the game.
3. Popular streams/games are promoted and thus twitch regulars and followers of the streamers participating are the target of this campaign.

This is like sponsored streams, but the company is pushing the cost unto the paying customers and thereby avoiding paying themselves and avoid the streamers having to mention the stream is an advertisement/sponsored.
