It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I started supporting GoG back in 2011. I loved that I could buy older games and play them offline. I've bought nearly 40 older games through the years. I needed to downgrade from Win 10 to Win 7 64x and now not only does this stupid GoG Galaxy app not work, I cannot download and play games I paid for offline.

GoG used to be THE place for retro PC gaming, now it's just another hot garbage EA clone with a bit less microtransaction. If I could get a refund for every game I've bought I would.

end rant..

Don't use the Galaxy client, then?
There are these things called "Offline Installers".

This stupid hot garbage site will NOT allow me to download my games in offline mode. Did you bother to actually READ what I said or are you just another ahole troll?

confused

You started supporting GOG, when there was no Galaxy. You can always return to using regular installers like you used to?
I'm sure there are workarounds present somewhere on these forums in case your download speed is low or you cannot download games via browser at all. And by the way, you can use an old GOG Galaxy client that supports Windows 7. Try to search GOG Galaxy V1.2 here.

I remember GOG Downloader was very helpful when I had a low DL speed in the past. But now it's gone unfortunately.

I don't understand how GOG could prevent you from downloading your games in a browser based on your operating system. What happens when you go to

https://www.gog.com/en/account

Select a game, and click a link in "Download offline backup game installers"?

GOG has always required you to be online to download your games from their servers over the internet.

However, you seem to think that nowadays GOG requires one to use the Galaxy client in order to download (and play?) one's games. There you are mistaken, you can still download the game installers with a regular web browser like Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Pale Moon, Vivaldi and various others.

You go to your friend's house with a box of floppies, copy the packed archives on the floppies, go home copy all of the archives onto your hard drive, find out the archives on some of the floppies are corrupted, go to your friend's house again to copy the missing files on different floppies, go back home, copy on drive, unpack, and you're done with the offline downloading true retro gaming style :D

This is why it pays to keep some spare Zip Disks on hand and use those instead *sunglasses emoji*

Tech support steps:
1. Is computer plugged in?
2. Is your temporal Quantum flux offline to online capacitor functioning properly.
3. is your computer plugged in, because those flux capacitors are very hard to break once installed.

What happens if you try to download the offline installers from the website? "doesn't work" is not a really good error description.

As an alternative, use gogrepoc, that's how I manage my games.

It's only a 6MB download. It should be straightforward.
