Enebias: Well, that much is clear.
I was just saying that it doesn't seem to me that the OP is forcing something on someone, just as he wasn't forcing anyone when talking about balance: in fact, nobody is either responding with religious GOG mantras or has suddenly started to accept DRM, as far as I can see.
I definitely understood what you meant but thought I would just nitpick a little by pointing out the literal difference ala Grargar. :)

Enebias: It's just an incresingly strong habit of certain people I really cannot suffer, that's all -and I will probably get on someone's nerves for stating this, too, as it always happens when someone dares to "rebuke" a certain bad behavior.
To be candid, I do agree with you on this point and am generally not impressed by the kind of responses that employ unnecessary juvenile cursing all the time. But I usually tend to just ignore it myself and if its in really bad taste while being totally uncalled for IMO then I just down rate the post, which is not very often as I know how easily the broken rep system is abused.

Although there are some people that I am well acquainted enough with to know their unabashed style of speaking direct and certainly don't mind it at all when they swear like a sailor once in a while. But they are the ones that have been here long enough to know that being harsh and really rude to newcomers is not the GOG way. The reason why this community flourishes is because you could not find a more open and welcoming place anywhere else on the internet. :)

darthspudius: No offence original poster but just because it is DRM free, that does not mean they are providing a better product than Steam. Sure Steam isn't perfect but neither is GOG. I'd rather balance it between the two.

Personally, I'd say shove this post up your backside and let people choose what they want. :D

Enebias: It depends, really. The definition of "better product" is not necessarily objective, so if someone despises DRM even the most broken DRM-free version of a certain game can be better than a DRM'd one. It is just a matter of points of view.
Also, I don't see the OP trying to force people to choose anything; this might be blatant advertising (provided that it it possible to do so on the forums of the adveritsed), yet it is by no means different from what you are doing when saying that you'd rather balance between GOG and Steam.
Granted, I don't get the OP's annoying enthusiasm either, but there is no reason to be always that bitter and rude when in disagreement.
Who was bitter?? If I was bitter I would of been a lot meaner, ALOT meaner. That and bitter people tend not to put smileys at the end of their post!

It could have been me... sometimes those who say things "tongue in cheek" may think others 'get it', while a smiley should have been added.
whatever it is somehow this thread managed to rack up more then a 100 posts

You'd think that after me posting here for so long that they'd expect tongue in cheek by now. lol

I think many of us are tired --but throw away your pride, I hear it's one of the seven deadly sins. :)
i think tinyP threw his pride away a long long time ago when he acquired 3 asses

But you're definitely turned on, judging by that rep number ;)

I'm sure he was supposed to take it with a grain (or many) of salt, but once those asses fell in the water, it dissolved and they became smart asses.
