** Giveaway has officially ended! Thanks for such a spendid time! **

Back in June 2023, during the Summer Insomnia Event, I was sleep-deprived enough to grab one copy of the limited Enchanted Lands Bundle, which includes both Everdream Valley and Arise. :) I bought it to support the Gamers Outreach charity event and my initial intention was to gift this bundle to a friend. In the end, this person kindly informed me that they were not interested in these two games and, after much thought, I have decided to host this giveaway to help find a home for this precious bundle of love. :)

/ Conditions /
Please refrain from participating if you own either of these games: Everdream Valley or Arise. Reason is that this bundle comes with one activation code that unlocks two games and, to be fair, I want the winner to inherit both games. Also, by entering this giveaway you are agreeing to claim this game code for yourself and not for somebody else, in the event that you win. Please note that bots are not eligible to participate in this giveaway. But cats may do so. :P

/ How to enter /
Did you know there is a wheel I can spin within Everdream Valley to help me pick the lucky winner? It is called the Dream Lottery wheel and I've attached a pic at the end of this entry. Go on! Take a peek!

As per most giveaways, stating "I'm in" or "Not in" helps to get the message across. ;)

/ ROUND 1 /
Pick one of the following items from that Dream Lottery wheel: wolf, chicken, magpie, surprise loot bag, goat, and duck. Do not pick the mouse, horse or firefly, as these three are greyed out because I have not yet completed the in-game quests and the wheel will never spin on a greyed out item. Also note that the 6 eligible items appear at all times on my in-game wheel, whereas the other three do not.

Once you've picked an item, state what it is and write up a small blurb about it. For example: "I'm in! I pick the mouse. This reminds me of a funny story about that time I witnessed two mice bickering over a piece of cheese." Or, here's another example: "I'm in! I pick the firefly. As a child, when I spotted fireflies at night, I believed that a faery was living inside my back yard." If you pick an item, but don't feel inspired to write a blurb about said item, then write something about that scarecrow instead! xD Edited posts will be ignored. But no worries! Simply create a new unedited post to make your entry count.

On Thursday the 31st (some time after 9:30 pm UTC time), I shall spin that Dream Lottery wheel and announce the winner. If the wheel lands on an item chosen by more than one participant, well, those participants shall move on to Round 2!

The Dream Lottery spinners so far...

Wolf: ZiTheBookishGamer, Microfish_1
Chicken: g2222 [ WINNER OF ROUND 1 ]
Magpie: DiffuseReflection, Endurantist
Loot Bag: zlaywal
Goat: gogtrial34987, bhrigu
Duck: ywzywz

/ ROUND 2 /
Yes! Surprise, surprise... this second round is really happening! :) But, this is where my fridge will replace the Dream Lottery wheel in choosing the 2nd giveaway winner. The prize is for a single copy of Everdream Valley (sorry, no charity bundle this time). In keeping with the gardening theme of Everdream Valley, I published a list of 20 random produce items and the participants will have to guess which 10 items picked from my Mom's garden are currently in my fridge. Actually, I may have eaten one or two of these items since my orIginal photoshoot, but you get my drift. :P The partipant with the most correct guesses shall win the game! And I will post pics of my photogenic produce (thx bjgamer for coining this expression!) as proof. In the event of a tie, I will ask a final trick question regarding my Mom's harvest and see who gets that final answer right. ;) I have not yet decided when Round 2 will close. Maybe it will end once all initial participants have played their second chance? We'll see how this goes.

So, my fellow participants, pick 10 items from this list of 20 and post your selection (please remember my rule about edited posts):

** the winning items have now been identified and the proof pic has been posted below **

GOOD LUCK to each and every one of you!

Not in, but just wanted to say awesome idea to use the "prize" (or one of them) to pick the winner. Don't think I ever saw that on here before.
I'm in. I pick the chicken because that reminds me of my automated chicken farm in Minecraft. :-p Still don't know what do with all the feathers I get???

p.s. Great giveaway idea. Thank you!
Not in. You already know I own Everdream Valley. ;)

Wonderful idea for a giveaway! I especially like the lottery wheel to determine the winner! While your entrants may not have much to say about the Scarecrow before playing Everdream Valley - I'm betting they could have a lot to say about that wheel and Scarecrow after playing a bit. ;)

I can recommend Everdream Valley to anyone who likes a chill, cute, mostly unrestricted building and easy-going farm/quest/animal-raising game. The last patch seems to have ironed out the bugs I knew of, and there are now several QOL options included.

Let's see - since you don't have them and I'm not entering ...
The firefly, they may be easy to catch, some not so easy to hold, the blue ones are magic, but you light your way with the gold. ;)
Thank you for a very interesting giveaway! I'm in. Stardew Valley was an unexpected surprise for me with how much I enjoyed that type of game, so I'm very hopeful about Everdream Valley.

I'll pick the goat. About a decade ago, I took a long vacation to Canada. In Banff, we took a gondola up some mountain, and up there saw a prohibition sign - your typical red circle with diagonal line - showing a cupped hand and a goat's head. We were very sad we wouldn't be allowed to tickle goats under the chin, but did appreciate the instant tradition of learning to interpret the true meaning of various prohibition signs!
I'm not in.
I want to express words of appreciation for Your double charity action and... it's a cute Giveaway :)
What a nice idea for a giveaway, both the games and the method of selection!

I'm in! I would like to pick the magpie. I've always found magpies to be beautiful and smart birds, and they sometimes land on my balcony to either see if there's anything to eat, or just to perch there and survey their surroundings. Funnily, the Finnish language has an expression "menna harakoille" / "go to the magpies" which means to go to waste, but I think the magpies would object to that description. :-)
Not in but thanks for the generous giveaway.
When I posted the giveaway rules, I kept thinking to myself, "nobody is going to have anything interesting to say about any of these Dream Lottery items, maybe I should change the rules"... Glad you all proved me so wrong!! xD I am loving the entries so far. They are all amusing and interesting! :) Thanks for the kind words, participants and non participants alike. :)

I edited my original post to include a list of all the spinners so far. ;)
Not in, but thank you for your generosity matterbandit.
Inspiring stuff, I would pick magpie(s) as they open the bridge for me lately like in a very old story. Enjoyed reading. Not in yet good luck! ^
I'm in! I would love to play these games. :D I missed the bundle at the time, so thanks for the chance!

I have to pick the wolf. Wolves are beautiful majestic creatures and they mean a lot to me as one of my favorite animals. Also wolf pups are adorable. I hate when a game makes me kill the wolves, but sometimes it can't be helped. I still like those games though lol.
Not In - My laptop fails the recommended requirements for Everdream Valley. While it's on the wishlist, it's more of a long-term want. I'm not interested in Arise.

However I do have to go there and say that if I was in, I would pick the Loot Bag because cats like to hide out in bags. The bag in that picture looks like it has catnip. This means that the Loot Bag is the only cat-approved option, and I thoroughly endorse the idea that the person who makes the right choice as in the cat choice thus picks the Loot Bag is the actual winner.
A really interesting way of conducting a giveaway.

I'm In.

I choose the Goat as my entry.

During my childhood I spent a few years studying in a school located in a semi rural semi urban place. There was a large open field by the school where goats used to graze; both older ones and their kids. I used to find them really fascinating. Goats are gentle creatures, and simple ones. The fresh green grass was their sole object of interest. I would often go where they were, observe them, sometimes pet them. I am glad for those days that taught me to admire animals, trees, the grass, the wind that blew over the fields, the occassional whirlwind that rose scattering dry leaves; they made me realise that we exist as a part of nature.
