kohlrak: And, also, remember these were all freebees, or has this been happening to people whom also purchased the titles prior to the freebees?
That is where you are wrong. If I sell a product and tell the customer that if he buys NOW he will get another game with it it is a bundle sale and the second game is part of the offer. Nothing was free here. The second game was meant to get the customer to buy at a certain point in which the price usually is higher as well. If GOG would give away a game without it being part of a certain purchase things would be different but here the second game has become part of what the customer bought.

I missed that little detail. I agree, in reality you're paying for both games, not one game.

That said, despite how insanely crooked GOG is, this appears to be more incompetence than anything else, which is also par for the course with them. GOG has more to loose than to gain from this. Perhaps if gog was more interested in earning their image through good work instead of creating it via threats, they would have fixed this error, by now. What they don't realize is, this could lead them into some serious legal trouble. They would be advised to fix the issue before customer decides to contact a greedy lawyer before support.

I have a couple of theories of my own on what the cause could be. From internally treating them as a special class that ends up only having one member. Not treating them like purchases in accounts. Hidden timeout value from when title was claimed/redeemed. Any number of explanations. I would imagine by now they have enough data to reproduce the problem at this point so that they could experiment and find the cause.

tremere110: The game is now back in my account. Hopefully they did this with everyone who lost the game all at once.
Yeah, apparently they returned it an hour ago, according to my order history. Not sure if they fixed the bundle, or gave it to those who logged a ticket explicitly, but hopefully this thread will remain visible for a while longer, so that all could log a ticket if it's the latter.

Additionally, my library and profile have a matching number lol.

Previously my profile had 1 less game than my library, as library still counted the unusable DLCs as a game, whereas the profile did not.

Thank you for sorting this, GOG!

kohlrak: To be fair, though, the whole point of DRM-free is to not really need GOG to be stable. You should be regularly making offline installer backups. And, also, remember these were all freebees, or has this been happening to people whom also purchased the titles prior to the freebees?
They may have been freebies, but they were freebies on a conditional purchase of another game. Permanent ownership was implied. It was also a "freebie" with DLCs, which I had purchased and they had become unusable, as per the screenshot in the OP.

And yes, I have the offline installers, but I still wasn't going to ignore this lol. What if there was a patch? Or Achievements? Or a new DLC?

I did not create a ticket in this case and got my game back - so at least they did not just fix it for those who did create a ticket.

That's good to know, thanks! And thanks GOG for sorting properly then.
