Hi there,

It appears that GOG is back at it again. In this episode of "GOG doing GOG things™", it appears that the base game for "Three kingdoms story: Conussia" has vanished from my library, please see attachment. They were, thankfully, kind enough to leave the DLC in my library, not that they're of any use.

No, I have not requested a refund. No, it hasn't been refunded for $0, like it happened before with the "Hard West 2" DLC or "Martha is Dead".

I have a theory for what happened. Way back when there was an offer that granted "Three kingdoms story: Conussia" for free with every purchase of "The Book of Bondmaids". I made use of this offer and bought all the DLCs as well. It looks like when the offer expired, they not only removed said offer from the store, but yanked the game from my library as well.

If you purchased "The Book of Bondmaids", especially during this offer, then I highly encourage you to check your library.

Please sort this out, GOG. Actually, please sort out your broken database and bundle system too, while you're at it. Too many games are not marked as owned, despite, thankfully, still being in my library.

Thank you.

[EDIT01] Yes, I have logged a ticket.

[EDIT02] Looks like it's been resolved. Thank you, GOG.

Huh. Just checked my game page, and yup shows me as not owning the "base game" anymore but the DLC is still in my account. GOG done fucked up again. Something similar happened when I bought Alwa's Legacy way back when it came with a free copy of Alwa's Awakening, and I had to bug GOG to re-add it. *le sigh*

Seems to me they need change the way these promos work, since these freebies actually never show on the order page either.

Make sure you open a ticket. Avoid the chatbot and email support@gog.com directly and include all the info (including a link to here). They probably won't even notice it's an issue otherwise. They'll also take forever, if they ever even bother to start replying to the ticket.
The exact same thing happened with the "pay one get two" promotion for Impaler, the extra key disappeared from my library.

Please fix that as well and while you're at it revisit your internal protocols, because these are bugs that occur regularly when there are giveaways of this type.

Yeah, these sort of bundle issues happen again
and again
and again

Anyway, thanks for the heads-up, SargonAelther.

Now that I know how that infuriating piece-of-shit chatbot works it's actually pretty straightforward in creating a ticket. Still not optimal and woefully unsuitable for newbies.... but at least I got it done in a relatively short time now.

- Entered original order info and missing promo game message
- Hit "Other" and "Other Inquiries" afterward
- Entered e-mail
- Reposted the same damn message
- Posted screenshot of base game not showing in account
- Done
Happened to me too. Support ticket here I come!

Yeah, I have, I just wanted to post it here, since I suspected that I would very likely not be alone in this.

You are welcome.

You should simply get rid of it using the script that is available for doing so and which still works just fine:
Use Stylus or similar to execute the script:

div[data-default-form] {
display: block !important;
}

div[data-chat-wrap] {
display: none;
}

Btw: Issue happened for me as well. I have archived the base game on my external HDD but I don't own it ... please explain to me, GOG.

I have it on my HDD too. I have learned my lesson about not hoarding everything on my HDD a while ago, when Steam pulled a similar stunt. They completely pushed me into GOG with that.

You should know by now the only response you'll get is an apology for the inconvenience after which they'll either restore the content or give you a gift code.

Oh yes, I am aware - it was a rhetorical question :)

Good, good. I wouldn't want you to have false hope.

I guess I'm compiling a list now? Everyone feel free to chime in with any examples I've missed.
The game is now back in my account. Hopefully they did this with everyone who lost the game all at once.

Gog's too busy playing politics while banning political disse--discussion (among other things as well). it's external image is more important than maintaining the things that earn you a positive image. Remember, there's a reason mentioning competitors (and even non-competitors) is a ban-able offense.

To be fair, though, the whole point of DRM-free is to not really need GOG to be stable. You should be regularly making offline installer backups. And, also, remember these were all freebees, or has this been happening to people whom also purchased the titles prior to the freebees?
